right, in my quest to be more organised i have sliced my hm bread ready for sarnies and toast (and stops my fella using all the bread with his doorstop size wedges) cooked a gammon joint ready to slice for sarnies, cooked a load of pies and sausage rolls for fella's box (no excuse now for buying them in the garages) got ds1's clothes ready for tomorrow as back at childminders, written out cheque for childminder, washed up after tea and got the dirty bottles washed and ready to be sterilised after ds2's morning bottle added tomorrow, got out flasks (again in the hope of stopping fella buying in garages) and sorted out his box of coffee, sugar, milk etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lets see how long i can keep it up!!!! place your bets.........................December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

You sound really organised! Hope you can keep it up, you have encouraged me to go downstairs and see what I can take to work tomorrow instead of buying lunch!Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0

good morning everyone!!!!! just to say im not normally this organised but needed to be as mornings here are hectic enough and the plan is it will come naturally to me for when i go back to work as the mornings then will be twice as bad!!!!!!!! going to have to get up at 5 to get me and two kiddies up and ready and out the house for 7.15!!!!
well my fella took his lunch box this morning (which looked like he was going away for a week not a day) and his flask so result!!!!!!!:D again, wonder how long that will last????
started my ironing pile last night and need to finish it off today, have already done all my housework. over the xmas period, me and my fella have sorted the house out and made it neat so i actually find it easier now to keep clean!!!! it was cluttered with toys and mess that i didnt know where to start but all done now!!!
glad my ramblings helped miss optimistic!!!!!
ok paris, the daily free scratchcards are on the bingo sites i.e littlewoods bingo and the daily clicks are on quidco and topcashback and is where you get paid 2-4p for searches. check out the up your income forum for more info as i dont think ive explained that very well??!!! (sorry) feel free to have many a blonde moment here, god knows i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:
i would get the breadmaker but not include it in your weekly budget as it will save you money in the long run. i am the same on the chocolate front so i now buy the 70% dark chocolate as a few squares does the trick so i get my indulgence for less calories and the bar lasts much longer!!!!!
ooh, ds2 has cut his 2nd tooth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! restless night with it but the gum has split now so hopefully over the worst. hoping for a breather before his top teeth start................... he will be biting the spoon once we start weaning!!!!
kettle's on, brew anyone??
love rags

Rags what bread maker do you have and can i ask what receipe you use for a normal loaf?? Mine is always hard on the otherside and a little stodgy in the middle at the moe!! and cant work out what im doing!!!
hope you have a good day and its good your oh took his lunch and flask,GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
the recipe i use mummy is:
350ml/12floz water
500g/1lb 2oz strong plain flour
1 tbsp skimmed milk powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
25g/1oz butter
1tsp fast action dried yeast
bung it in the breadmaker in the order your model says and i use the white light mode as it gives the softest crust. my model is a breville, but isnt an all singing all dancing model like pipsmum (am very jealous as she can make jam in hers) but it was free off my nan so beggars cant be choosers!!!!
hope that helps mummy...........December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

thank you! im pretty sure thats what i use aswell, but i just realised i put it on a medium mode so will try the light one next time....Also its really bland...not sure why that is but oh said he wont eat it as sandwich, so will have to get his taste buds used to it and like it or lump it!!
Mine does have the jam setting but i only noticed last night!!so might give it a try sometime.
Will check my quantities are the same and if not try yours. Do you know what size loaf thats for, I got a bag of the ready mixed one once just to try and didnt realised it made 2lb loafs and mine only holds 1.5lbs.....was messy!!
thanksGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
the recipe says it makes a medium loaf so i put mine on 750g and comes out fine.
i tied the recipe given with the breadmaker which i thought tasted bland but this one is actually nice, my fella and ds1 loves it. ds1 calls it mummy's special bread! bless him.......December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
