Hi and welcome miemie, its good to know that someone else is from this way, everyone else seems to be from scotland or down south!!!!!
good luck on starting again in jan, think most people get way layed around xmas, even if it is just a little bit!
just checked my online banking and noticed that my fella hasnt been paid. was due on fri but as it was a bank holiday thought it would either be paid early or by today at the latest, but nope, none in there!!!!!!!! think we will be delving into the overdraft more this month.....................:mad:December 2018: £20,850.24. well me and my fella have tackled the massive task that is the front room and it no longer looks like squatters have taken residence!!!! got some more stuff to photo and list on ebay. just hope it all sells.
my only dilemma now is do i sell the baby stuff i no longer use (baby carrier and new clothes etc) or keep them incase there happens to be a number 3 down the line???????????????????
have joined the grocery challenge for january, this should hopefully make me stick to a budget and keep meal planning. but need to spend a lot of time on the old style board getting meal ideas. might have a look on the store cupboard challenge as can always make meals cheap out of a cupboard. just need to find a way of getting my fella to eat pasta and i would be sorted!!!!!!
think i may have to invest in a slow cooker so can batch cook stuff when i go back to work whilst at work. now that is stepford wife in training stuff!!!!!!
going to take a leaf out of nigella lawsons book as she keeps, uses and freezes everything to use in some way or another!!!! just read that if you use the water that you have cooked your tatties in to make bread it keeps fresh for longer..................well worth trying!!!!!
well my ds1 is becoming a little brat lately. hoping its just another phase we have to go through but he is really testing our patience at the mo. when he is good he is a darling but when he is on one, well, devil is one word for him! think it may be from all the excitment surronding xmas and it will calm down soon.......................fingers crossed.
sorry, this has turned into a long post so am stopping rambling on now,
love rags

Ramble away rags its your diary!!
I joined grocery challenge too, and have just been looking at my SOA for January and good grief do I need to come under budget on groceries!!
As for your baby stuff you need to decide how far down line number 3 would be and if the money you made from selling it all would be of more use now? Maybe you could sell some bits and keep a few incase?
Sure ds1 is just hyper with Christmas and will settle back down when everything isnt so different, is your OH off work still for the holidays? If he is Ds1 could just be showing off for daddy??

hows your bread maker going?? i need to get back into putting a loaf on first thing. is it just me or does everything fall apart when oh's are at home all day, dont seem to get as much done as normal.
ooh, just remembered, i managed to get my car insurance down to £200!!! only a small saving of £30 but a saving none the less. seem to have more luck reducing my mum and dads bills, have done their car insurance and house insurance and saved them about £300 so far!!!!!! rags just realised the 40% is the amount ebay gets from the sale, so the fee they charge - im sure thats what it is anyway.....i have got it a good few times before and it always tracks aslong as you dont log out inbetween winning and paying or anything...GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. it is a lot but should hopefully be able to get near it when i go back to work, will just have to find ways to top it up. need to sit down and do the budget/soa for when i go back (guessing wage) to see just how much money should be left over each month to throw at the debts.
mummy, does that mean i wont get the 40%?? blonde moment but didnt quite understand what you meant. it was a buy now item so won and paid in one transaction.December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
