If not why not ask an older friend/relative to sell a few things on Ebay for you. You're 16, you're probably hoarding loads of rubbish you don't need anymore!!!

i actually checked that out the other day too even found my old pokemon cards lol,
turns out they aint worth anything anymore which is a shame and well im a bit of a computer geek so most of the stuff i got laying around are old computer componants and old games consoles (commodore 64 style lol) anyone know where people buy these anymore? like a specialist or something?

Hi How about dog walking? Or baby sitting? It would require a bit of effort for fairly small rewards but thats what most jobs are like.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

i guess i should of said 10minutes in a car and to do it in 10minutes you have to go on the motorway, and walking there is relatively unsafe due to it being along main roads (50mph roads) with thin paths or country roads with no paths at all, ya know feel free to take your pick, and yeah there are buses but the route they take there is through another 3 villages in the area so its like a 40min bus ride

Thanks to people for actual helpful advice

and to the people who thought they may aswell troll my thread, go **** yourself
well u said u needed money....

people have to travel for far longer and further for work. u have a 40 min door to door bus and ur complaining!

Mate, i've seen people be far harsher on here so chill out yeah?

Anyway, oh, 40 mins on a bussss!!! Er, my last job was an hour by bus away. Total PITA when it took 10 mins by car, but i had to get the bus.

The upshot of all of this is there is no *easy* way to make money. Sad but true - and if there were, we'd all be at it.

You have to decide what it more important - convenience or cash. I think ultimately it comes down to that.
    On the up :D

You think people will be willing to employ you when you can't even use articulate language online, when you have time to think about what you're saying?
    From Poland...with love.

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.
  • Would it kill you to sit for 40 minutes on a bus?

It takes me between 60 and 75 mins to get to / from work.. so i generally sit for over two hours a day on public transport. I do it- because that's where my job is.

If i only wanted a job that was within walking distance/less than 20 minutes on the bus, i'd be earning £10,000 less a year.

You can use those 40 minutes on the bus productively you know, and it won't kill you. If you can't find a job closer, i don't see a good alternative. When you come to filling in a CV in a couple of years time then a 'real' job is going to look a lot better than something on the net/dog-walking

Would it kill you to be a bit lighter on him?
He's 16,and could easily be in school still,so it doesn't really matter about a £10,000 difference based on the distance travelled because he still has to study.Possibly?
So many people don't seem to understand that there are people who are different, with a unique set of circumstances completely different to your own.
A lot of people seem to be venting as to what they have to do in their lives, which is ok for advice as long as your not ranting...which you are..it's like this "well it won't do you any harm"...he orginally asked for advice, then people cornered him by saying things like you did...how else is a 16 year old meant to react.(infact anyone, generally, just the output would be slightly different, becuase we have different ways of doing things)
The thing is I laugh at this...
Yes there are ways to make a living off the web, more than you can possibly imagine and just because you don't know of it doesn't mean it don't exist (which it does). And that argument; "we'd all be doing it",but the fact of the matter is we wouldn't be.We are all different and have different tastes/hobbies,so we wouldn't all be doing it,it would create people to lazy to work in other sectors where society as we know (NHS etc.) would collaspse.
    Happy Days.
    Peace.
Do you read? I am saying do you read?Over and out.

Of course there are lots of ways to earn money on the Internet, however the people most likely to suceed in this are those who put their thoughts and efforts into thinking out their plan and carefully executing it. None of us realistically expects that opportunity to drop into our laps and if it did , many of us would be busy raking in the dosh not sitting around answering posts and searching for 101 MSE ways with leftover turkey.

Nothing wrong with seeking advice. Good thing to do.
However, didn't we all have to listen to our elders?
Didn't we usually hate what we heard?
And didn't it turn out they were often right?

Finally OP, remember, a positive, can-do attitude and good manners will take you a long way in life.
    Good luck!
  • The Best thing to do by far is to do mystery shopping, only some site will allow u but all the other ways are very slow and u earn painfully little for the amount of time survey take. Anyway That my advise.
  • If you were a 16 year old girl, im sure there would be many ways to earn money through the net!!!!!
