If ur not working or at college at the moment... go to college. depending on ur household income (ul find more details on one of the boards on here), ul get £35 a week for studying plus bonuses.
I turned my nose up at EMA when i was 16 thinking i could earn more by goin out and gettin a job but unfortunatly it didnt happen like that. Over the last 2yrs iv paid out nearly £2000 in qualifications i could of been paid for doin 4/5 yrs ago.0 -
EMA is only for households below a certain income level and not for everyone.0

Or if you dont want to go college how about a training provider.
I go JHP training. E2e course.
An e2e course is where you go, you can re sit your english & maths eventually. It will look good on your CV. And it helps you find a job or apprentaship. They try get you out on placement as soon as possible. Where you do 3 days working and 2 days at the center. And no matter how much your families earn you get 30 pounds. After being there for 10 weeks you get 5 pounds bonus. I thinky you have to do a full week im not sure as i have been there 8 weeks. You get 2 holidays a month. And you get your bus fair refunded.Proud mummy to 3 beautiful children who I love so so much :oxxxx

Net things are okay but they'll never match a *job*.
Make sure you're in with as many sites as you can be - yougov (takes an age but will get there), toluna, pinecone, valuedopinions, lightspeed all do surveys - read the ts&cs to see if they want 18+ or if 16+ is okay...
Daily clicks can and do bring in money for the committed - but they take daily effort and can feel like they're taking an age... archerfish, mutual points, pigsback etc
If you buy anything online with what money you do have, get cashback if at all poss - topcachback, quidco (one I use) or even a point site like iPoints.
If you were 18 you could go along the route of selling things on eBay / PlayTrade / Amazon etc, but they all normally need you to be 18+On the up

I worked as a pot washer when I was 14. I'm only 23 now so it wasn't that long ago! I moved to waitressing at 16 then retail at 17 and worked solidly throughout college (no EMA back then) and uni. The only way to make a decent amount of money online is by selling something people want. I make jewellery and used this to pay my way through uni, as the whole 'handmade' revolution had just kicked off. It was brilliant because I could do it all from home and it fitted alongside my studies. I sold via Big Cartel and eBay and it's all very easy to set up.
Don't know how much success you'd get from something like this now (no one seems to be buying handmade jewellery anymore, which is why I gave it up full time and now just do it occassionally alongside my job) but if you can find a niche in the market and appeal to people, you'll make money there.
It must be said though, running an online business takes much more time and effort and is much more stressful than just turning up to work a Saturday job once a week. I think you'd be much better off getting a few hours paid work a week.
EDIT: Sorry, didn't realise you had to be over 18 to sell on eBay!0 -
Even then, tbh, I think with the whole Etsy etc thing, the handmade jewellery market is seriously saturated right now, and of course the prices people are expecting isn't leaving much of a profit margin. I used to make jewellery, but don't anymore.. Primarily because of that!
You say you're 10 mins from the nearest town - are there busses? I'd imagine that the wage you'd get would cover transport and bring in more than internet income does - and lets not forget you can still do your clicks etc online, when you have a job.
At 14 I flogged mobile phones (back when the business was awesome... these days people expect a lot for very little £ lol), at 16 I worked in Next (GAH never again!) and at 18 I moved into my first full time job in a call centre. Have now (20) quit the call centre and gone back into college... Starting to wonder if it was really for the best some days though tbh... hah.
Are you at college/school right now then?On the up
