  • Woo Hoo!!!! I've caught up.... and I'm in!!!

Thanks Piggers for the shiny new thread... hope your birfdee was luffley.

Welcome to all the newbies... Toots is the official Meeter and Greeter. thanks Toots.... lovely job.

DH goes back to work tomorrow after being off for a week. He'd forgotten how relentlessly draining being around the little darlings is. Someone's going to be skipping off to work in the morning!

I fully intend to be whip-cracking, and getting my little munchkins back cleaning tomorrow. :rotfl: Bout time they were earning their keep again! :D

Loving my new washer... esp since I've seen it's back to full price now! ;) We got it for £170 cheaper than it's now at.

So, how's this for a tightwad Christmas story....

My (wealthy) brother and SIL gave our step-dad a jumper for Christmas ... a jumper that my brother had worn, and shrunk in the wash!!!!  Well, as I said to Toots earlier.... that's how the rich stay rich, they don't spend any money!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Pigpen, hope you enjoy the movie. I love it, it's a slow build up, but definitely worth it.

    Soappie.....wanna compare mountains??????
If someone would tell me how to post a pic........I can assure that there "aint no mountain high enough" to beat mine:):)

Ooooh, I feel an extreme ironing challenge coming on - who can clear the highest mountain before the new year! :D And there'll be no need to don hard hats, carabiners, crampons, tie knots in ropes or travel to anywhere where vertigo or frost bite might pose a problem!

To post a pic, you need to upload a digital one to somewhere like photobucket. Once it's up there, you can copy the URL for it and paste it into a post by using the 'insert link' button on the edit message page (the one that looks like a globe with two links of a chain below it)

Toots - please explain just WHY you are ironing duvet sets? Just get a throw to put on top of the bed - no-one will notice they're not ironed!

Frodders and Toots - my iron mountain - the only real problem I have is that I need to sort out the wardrobe and chest of drawers before I can put it all away! Other than that, I will be ironing as though my life depended on it over the next couple of days. Tell you what, if I photographed my iron mountain and you both photographed yours, maybe we could have a competition and prove whose was the biggest! (Bet it's mine!)

Toots - I see you've quite rapidly dropped the word 'slightly' from your welcome speech!

Soappie honey - I know what you are saying is sensible - but having spent alot of time in hospital over the last 8 years I rather like crisp ironed bedding - its a curse I know and I may think about a throw if I go to dunelm tomorrow.
dont think my mountain will fit in a photo!!!!!

I dropped the 'slighty' as I thought you and froddy were implying that I was understating the condition of us flyladies and as I didnt want anyone to feel 'under-rated' I changed it to 'totally'!:rotfl: :rotfl:

If you recall - that was going to be a real, real, real last resort and which is why I asked you if it was OK to cut the box in half so it was small enough to go special delivery! I'm still smiling over it all and am so pleased it got to you in time
Yes I remember which is why I mentioned it, he asked why not use parcel farce, he now knows why! Told him to call them tomorrow as it's said at 'National Hub' since 26th December, it should have been here probably by Monday last week.

Been watching Never Mind the Buzzcocks, better than MOTD.....think I will sort the DW and get myself off to bed as there is an 'ex' lurking on facebook, got in touch with me Xmas eve, who I don't particularly want to have to speak to. Facebook eh, if it was a pools coupon I'd win with all these Xs :rotfl:
One day I might be more organised...........

toots !!!!!! stop swearing, ironing duvet sets, you need sectioning young lady! Just put them away and walk away from the cupboard!

oooh lil_me thanks for making me chuckle! and you deserve another medal for calling me a 'young lady' - i am way older than you i think!!!!

And just for you I will seriosly think about not ironing any more duvet sets - actually it was toxic who got me ironing duvet covers - i just used to do the sheets.
