This is ringing a bell here - why is Bircham Newton 'well known'?...

It used to be an RAF base but since the 60's has been a training centre for construction apprentices. Its very well known round here for a large concentration of young males aged 16 - 24

*hugs* SummerMoon...kids can be so stressful! Oh and I feel like that and I'm not pregnant, though if you do want another good luck!

Just had my dad on the phone telling me to speak to my daughter. She was in floods of tears as her uncle (who has Down's Syndrome) had a go at her Pokemon game whilst she was helping him with his and evolved her Pokemon and deleted something or other. So she'd had a paddy and was threatened with me coming to get her (I was going to make her help me tidy ;)). Managed to get her to think calm thoughts and I think peace is reigning again.

As well as my parents coming for lunch my mum has invited them all around for NYE  I was going to put the children to bed and spend the evening in front of the telly on my own, but I suppose it'll be nice to have family around :) All incentive to tidy I suppose :rotfl:

In my first HHC I did:

    WM - unloaded and reloaded
    TD - loaded
    Hanging clothes put away
DS's other set of drawers sorted out

    In this HHC I:

Started to sort out the side of my bed
Now the top of the bed is full - it's kingsize - and I can nearly see the carpet at the side of the bed!

If you have a special meal New Years Day make sure you have everything you need!
HHI .. We will not have any left for New Year!

HHC in your bedroom.. most look like a war zone!
    Dust round the whole downstairs
    Hoover the kitchen floor!
Fill a binbag to go to charity shop
Vacuum up the stairs.. and the landing and at least 1 bedroom!
Scrub the bath/shower.. and the sinks.. and the tiles!
    Descale the kettle and iron
    Clean out the microwave

Going again for 11.15 to 11.45. Change that to 11-11.30 to join you Gryfon.

Hi Toots, I'm impressed - a lot of folk assume it stands for "Question of the Day"! It is actually "Queen of the Damned" - not that I'm damned (or at least I hope not) but I just like the film

Part way through the day - just stopping for elevenses with tea and a brownie (they tast yummy!)

Of today's tasks (deleting those done yesterday):

    Tuesday - Twinkle Time!
    Level One
Sweep and mop the kitchen floor! - Done
    Level Two
Wash a duvet cover or 3 that need doing! - in the WM now (only one though since not got the room to dry two in one day and the garden is like a bog outside so it's not going on the line - if the dog jumps up [which he will] I'd only have to wash again!)
Clear out a cupboard.. the one you ALWAYS put off doing!
    Level Three
Vacuum up the stairs.. and the landing and at least 1 bedroom! - next job
Wipe all the paintwork down in one room - Done (in the hallway) We have folk coming over later so it will look nice and clean
Scrub the bath/shower.. and the sinks.. and the tiles!
    Extras
    1. Descale the kettle and iron - kettle done overnight, will sort out the iron another day as I used all my white wine vinegar on the kettle!
    2. Clean out the microwave
    3. Clean out the TD filter and the WM filters and drawers.. and the DW filter
Excellent - IMHO I think I've done quite well, just a few more things to do which I'm going to list just for my own benefit to make sure I don't miss anything:
    • clear a cupboard
    • vacuum
    • scrub bath, shower and sink
    • clean microwave
    • iron yesterday's load
    • clean WM & DW filter
    • have a drink!
