    I'm new too!

Have been busy with washing - two loads on the line and a couple of woolens in the machine :)
  • In my HHC I managed to empty one kitchen cupboard. Wiped the shelves with dettol and dried it ready for DD’s weaning stuff. A few less things to clutter the work surfaces. I sorted the contents – chucked out those pasted their use by date, put aside those past or approaching their best before date to use up ASAP, re-homed others, and put aside those that will go back into the cupboard when it dries.

I will join you now Hex five min late. I’m on a roll.
The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.

Had to sit down for a few, feeling a bit dizzy!

Clear all dirty dishes (this may take two or three dishwasher loads!)
At least 2 more washing machine loads so I have clean pants and socks! - One load on :j Washing Mr G's work shirts so I can iron a load all at once then I don't have to worry about them for a week or so.
Sort out drying for horse and drying for tumble dryer. - Dryer on :j
Get piles of clothes ready for children to put away later.

Take bin bag and spend 5 mins in each downstairs room throwing rubbish into it.
Vacuum all bits of carpet I can see as at least that's better than vacuuming nothing!
Put all recycling in the boot of the car ready to go later.

Not much but it's a start. Just trying to sort the piles of clothes that have been dumped on the bench back to what they were. I have said we'll do lunch NYD so I need space for people to sit in the dining room and lounge (think most of the lounge is covered in toys and packaging so shouldn't take too long to clear) and I need space to cook!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

SPC2 #571 - trying to get as much as possible

Frodders and Toots - my iron mountain - the only real problem I have is that I need to sort out the wardrobe and chest of drawers before I can put it all away! Other than that, I will be ironing as though my life depended on it over the next couple of days. Tell you what, if I photographed my iron mountain and you both photographed yours, maybe we could have a competition and prove whose was the biggest! (Bet it's mine!)

Mmmmmm I think I would win this hands down :o:o But I can't even start until some sort of order has returned to the lounge and I ain't starting that until A & W are back to school next week. First task will be getting the tree down while they are at school on Monday.

  • Morning All :hello:

And WELCOME to all the newbies.

Not very motivated today. Bit down in the dumps, so probably just hormones... I could, I'm sure find at least 25 things to actually be down about, but that's probaly not a good plan, and not the sort of list I should be making!!! ;)

*takes an intravenous shot of 'get a grip'*

I'm feeling a little inspired by all the ironing that's going on, and may clear the basket of things that does have to be ironed. As some of you know, i do not iron, unless there's a gun pointed at my head!! :D

It's Mr Shattered's domain. However, I may drag the iron out and clear those bits.... maybe.

DD1 is VERY hormonal at the moment, she's driving me bonkers.

She got some perfume for Christmas that I HATE, LOATHE and DETEST. She however, LOVES it. Now, where do I go with that one??? Answers on a postcard please... post-card, geddit??? Blimey I need to get out more!!!! :D

Right, off to wash DD2's hair.
    See you later.

I know I could look on the slow cooker thread, but I trust your opinions... my dad's planning on getting me one for my birthday, but apparently he's confused as there are so many to choose from! So what do you recommend, and what are the important criteria when making a decision?!
I've just been given the small Morphy Richards Accents Jet Black - because brushed steel is harder to keep clean. This is enamel (I think) and will wipe. It's a 3.5 l with a 2.5 l working capacity and there are three of us. This will do meals for 4 by the looks of it so probably a small one for you (ie this size?).

DD is waiting for a friends mum to collect her to play for the day, DS is still in bed and OH is being a right Kandoo  ever since I threw a wobbly at DD last night for trashing the room she'd spent all day cleaning so she could go out  .

I need to shower and get dressed
FIND MY FORM FOR THE PATH LAB as I havent a clue where it is at the mo
then I think I'll disappear out for a while and hopefully OH will be in a better mood when I get back.

Oh and maybe I should fly a bit today at some point as well.

Johanne - well done to your OH, enjoy lakeland

    Mudbath - TAKE IT EASY

    ragz - welcome back

Vanilla - hugs for you and your hubby
