Best happenings..
- My friend getting the all clear in a health scare
- Creating a veg patch in the front garden
- Decorating the kitchen nearly all on my own
- Getting Woody
- Starting my family tree (thanks Soappie)
I love that feeling you get when somebody puts your name in bold. Just to know that somebody out there was thinking of you enough to ask/comment is a wonderful feeling and one that I try hard to give back to you all.
Remarkable thing that changed me
No one thing but I'm beginning to realise that 'good enough' is just that and that things don't have to be perfect or done my way. This is certainly work in progress but at least I've started and often starting something is the hardest part. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Oh dear - Woody has discovered how the cat flap works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is having his second jabs tomorrow and then we will think about letting him explore. I had wanted to put it off until the warmer weather but the flap will prove a problem and it doesn't seem fair to stop the others from freely using it.

So tomorrow I need to do my dailies and that's it, since I have posted my list for 2008 as pigpen requested, unless she chucks any more jobs our way. After a night in the public louse, she probably won't be in any fit state to

Afternoon all :hello:
No, I haven't just got up! Been up since about 10am and I have popped in and caught up (esp with the 'pigpen list' posts - pass the tissues, tears are not good for a keyboard)
I've been looking at insurance quotes and printing off details - realised that the good offers were because the excess levels were higher, but then I haven't made a claim for years. However I just had a glass of wine with my New Year steak pie so think I will leave making any decisions till tomorrow.
Trouble is you make plans for being organised in the new year then, because you had a late night seeing the year in, you decide to leave it till the 2nd and you are on the slope again.
Still, I suspect I am not the only one.
OK, I will sort my car insurance this week!
(Anyone else getting freaked out by greenbee?)

Im back from seeing mum and DD.
Mum was fine and knew it was New Years Day. Gave her a manicure and she had her usual cigs. She was happily tucking into some broth when I left.
DD has a bit of a hangover but really enjoyed herself last night. She doesnt do socialising so I was pleased she went out. GS1 is there and still quite drunk. He apparently caused a few probs last night. I had a quiet word but he wont remember. I love him to bits but dont like that part of him.
Im having a quiet afternoon and just had some of my broth. Just need to do a little tidy of the kitchen.
Reading the lists has given me wet eye and Im just so honoured to know you all.0 -
To all of my fabulous flylady friends!!
(And that marks my first achievement of the year - I got a smilie to work!! Now I know that they will only work on Explorer and not Firefox...)
Very tired here, as DS1 had a bit too much to drink, so I had to sit up with him, and then DD's BF didn't leave until 2.30am... I have tidied the livingroom, and made profiteroles, cried all over the thread, (thanks pigpen! please feel free to turn up on my doorstep anytime! )and am thinking about my list.
I forgot to say thank you for my birthday gift.. a 'Bones' book is just perfect lol.. I shall read it later!! I forgot where I had put it (away from DD3 who steals everything) until yesterday.. it was in my sock drawer.. right at the bottom..
And thank you to Toots for my birthday card.. it arrived yesterday hun..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
