    Best happenings..
    1. Realising that I could look after little sis, the hounds and the house for a week at a time, all on my ownsome...without injury, nervous breakdowns or the need for any emergency services.
    2. Getting back in contact with far flung family members....but equally letting go of those family members who bring nothing postive to my life.
    3. The lump on puppy's leg turning out to be nothing but a harmless cyst
    4. One of my oldest friends having her beloved baby girl after a hugely difficult pregnancy.
    5. Making some lovely new friends.
    Remember most from this thread
    1. Its sooo hard to sum it all up. I remember the lovely welcome that I got from everyone, the scary peg conversations;)...but most of all the support and kindness from people that I'd never even met. This thread has taught me that I can take the running of the house on and that its entirely manageable and not as overwhelming as I'd always thought. That I actually enjoy spending days pootling around the kitchen, creating lovely smells and huge messes ;).

I've sorted through my receipts bag and done some shredding. I've chucked out my 2007 calendar and put the 2008 one in the cupboard (I keep them for a while in case there's anything I need to check on).

I've had a little lie down this afternoon......

I've dragged the bin and the bags of rubbish to the gate ready to put out for the morning (and emptied the indoor bins first).

Thank goodness the heating has just come back on, it's been really cold here today.

I can't write a list, I'm no good with words, but I would really really miss this thread if it ever went.
  • Afternoon all!

I have just done basics today. Watched some Friends, done some Soduku.

DH is putting together a computer table downstairs. This office will become the babys room!

So if I dusappear its cos we are attempting to move a pc from 1 room to another. And failing, lol!

Can anyone explain why, since computers were supposed to bring the paperless society, I have bits of paper on my desk with little notes/reminders on them and can't think of an easy alternative?

Afternoon everyone, i finally have my bedroom done...:j :j :j it's took all day but worth it except for the 4 bins of washing that now need doing.:rotfl:

Spent most of yesterday crying, not sure whats up with me. Think it's just that time off year and i suppose everything with hubby to doesn't help.

Feeling better today and hopefully it will stay that way. Plan now is to carry on with the washing. Need to throw out 2 chairs which have finally give up and get another 2 down from the attic. Have 3 bin bags for the attic as well.

Big hugs to everyone who needs one.:grouphug:

Right time to shift, need a cuppa first.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I'll ask around. Is he looking for 7 days a week or just Mon-Thurs? PM me an idea of the kind of thing he's looking for (and budget) and I'll see whether I can find anything useful.

I just want to start the year with a clean, tidy, clutter-free house (even if it means I have to shove it all into the garage at the weekend!)

Thanks Hun - He's working Monday to Friday at the moment so just 4 nights, but will be on 11 days from about middle of Jan (Monday to following Thursday) so will need to include weekends - not sure on budgets, usual I suppose for that type of thing - if they can get a house to share, then they will split it between them, they're also quite clean and tidy for men, but I can always send them in with pigpens lists to make sure...:D

I know what you mean about wanting to start the year like that - You've done really well... I think you deserve a dog bicci with everything you've done today - good on ya! :T
Not so worried about cleaning at the moment, it's pretty good, just some daily S&S's for now, but really want to get decluttered and organised - I am determined to list those DVD's and Videos I've got on Ebay as I've got about 100 to get rid of - anyone know when they're having a 1p posting day???

Once the bathroom is done I'll have to start going to the gym in the morning again and use the showers there rather than making mess here...

    Bathroom
    Scrub bath, tiles, [STRIKE]basin[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Wash shower curtain[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean window, frame & sill[/STRIKE]
    Clean plugholes
    Descale taps
    [STRIKE]Clear & wipe shelves[/STRIKE]
    Clean towel rail
Wipe skirting, door, doorframe, [STRIKE]light fitting
    [/STRIKE]Hoover
    Wash floor

Just stopping for a glass to two of water (its thirsty work cleaning)... the bathroom window was black and mouldy and horrible, but it isn't any more :D
