toots, I don't know whether you realise it, but you are my inspiration for being positive this year. Despite everything that you've been through, you've kept us entertained with your funny emails and posts, looked after us when we're feeling ill or down, and rarely moaned even when you're not feeling great yourself. Thank you.

Tilllitot - My Step-mother is a reiki master, she's really good and it's done wonders for her. (Where in Kent are you? I'm in East Sussex.
I'm right down in the corner, in Margate, my Reiki master is in Scotland, she's fab, in fact I got PM from her from our little Reiki forum today telling me that as a new year gift she will give me my Reiki 2 free of chargeI was already saving for it so its only my fare to Scotland I need to find now. I luff Edith!! I see youre in Heathfield, not been there for years!! Well done to your S-M for being a Master :T

OK, here goes...
Best happenings..- Finally leaving a 'J.O.B' and working for myself doing something I love
- Getting on top of the finances to a point where we were actually paying stuff off rather than stealing from peter to pay paul
- Being able to work out a spending plan AND FINALLY a savings plan
- No longer stressing about the housework - knowing I can get back on top of it in a short time thanks to Pigpens lists, because mess is just short term and easily picked up as long as the basics are done.
- Realising what I want from life - and it's NOT to be rich so I can look after everyone! (although, quick add on here, if anyone WANTS to make me rich, I'll not turn it down!!! :rotfl: )
Everyone being so welcoming and helpful no matter what - I can still not take in the way everyone was there for me when I needed advice on my son - I was so worried for him and where he was going to end up, and your loving words of encouragement and letting me know there is a light at the end of the tunnel made me step back and look at the big picture and actually realise that he is a wonderful child who just needs encouragement and help and he WILL get there... thank you all...
Remarkable thing that changed me
This may sound REALLY corny, but I know that it has been this thread that has changed me. As I've said before, all my friends are miles away from me, so coming on here, listening to everyones day to day stuff, worries, achievements, etc, has made me feel part of your lives and like someone said, I know I could call on any of you at a moments notice and you would be there for me - even though I know that I never would, just knowing that I can is an amazing thing for me as I have felt so alone for so long - and didn't even realise it! Thank you all for being there, not just for me but for everyone else, you are indeed a wonderful bunch...
On the NEW YEAR RESOLUTION thing, Like Pigpen, don't really like them as I think they should be like our MACAW's, sort of ongoing, not just on the first of Jan, but I am going to do what Toots is doing and write things down that I want to achieve - I think of things all the time that I want to do then forget 5 mins later, so if I must make one, I will make sure I always have a pen a pad on me from now on so I can write bits down...
Then I am going to make sure that I take time out for me every day to plan what I want to do - 30 mins a day just for me - no housework, no kids, no hubby, no thinking about what to do for dinner - I'm going to lock myself away and think of stuff that I want to do - do you know, even just writing it down is hard - makes me feel selfish just saying it, which it's not is it! weird how we condition ourselves eh!LOVE AND HUGS TO YOU ALL FOR A SIMPLY WONDERFUL NEW YEAR - MAY 2009 BE THE YEAR OF THE FLYLADIES (AND ODDJOB!)

In fact, reading everyones comments has made me cry all morning, since I was going to go do the lounge (definitly not getting done now...)
You really are a fantastic bunch of ladies and (sorry if too slushy, but got to be said) I LOVE YOU ALL! You are my friends, my comrades, my amigos and you all mean the world to me - even though I've never met you! I wish the best for you all and I hope you all accomplish your goals and dreams in 2009, and knowing the strong people you all are, I'm sure you all will...LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

I just had to quote this Flower Cos that's it isn't it!!!! The tidying will always be there... relentlessly, but this is important, life affirming stuff.

I REALLY need to do something crafty today. Will have to go get my room sorted hehe. Feeling inspired for some reason!!!An' It Harm None, Do As Thou Will
MACAW... EAT BETTER, no snacks, no junk0 -
I'm getting all emotional reading your posts... and I really MUST get on!
I've cleaned the patio doors, and the living room window/window frame & sill (always an unpleasant job as I have single-glazed metal windows and they get mouldy/mildewy and the paint flakes). So the living room is almost doneand the shower curtain is in the WM
I've also eaten lunch - leftover parsnip soup & leftover risotto, so I'm slowly decluttering the fridge too!0 -
Can you stop making me cry!
I will get round to doing mine but will have to have a think.
Off out to my DB's in a min as DH wants the kids out of the way so he can build DD's bike ready for her birthday tomorrow.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Like the rest of you I've found all your lists so moving and am all teary.
I'll do mine in a minute.
Had a nice time with friends coming round last night with their boys. We set off a few fireworks and some chinese lanterns and all played some games and chatted.
DS3 was up on and off all night with a raging temp again so a bit bleary here.
Summer - hugs for you hun and I hope something positive comes out of last night
Soappie - well done on the sausages and hope you get your hot water
sorted
I've decided I'm going to get back to flying next week when hopefully I'm feeling better, the decs are down and the boys back at school. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
