Awwww Frodders - big big dodgy hugs..... here, have a tissue .. or two....

Morning all and thank you soappie! Not sure what got into me last night - too much thinking and reminiscing and struggling to think of 5 good things (all the yuck things keep getting in the way!) :o This year WILL be a better one - it HAS to be :p

SummerMoon - hugs for whatever reason

I think I'm going to have a lazy couple of hours - maybe pop round and see my dad - and then crack on with a few easier things later on. I'm with sexymouse and others on the no washing today ;) and, anyway, that would only cause more ironing!!

To all of my fabulous flylady friends!!

(And that marks my first achievement of the year - I got a smilie to work!! Now I know that they will only work on Explorer and not Firefox...)

Very tired here, as DS1 had a bit too much to drink, so I had to sit up with him, and then DD's BF didn't leave until 2.30am... I have tidied the livingroom, and made profiteroles, cried all over the thread, (thanks pigpen! please feel free to turn up on my doorstep anytime! )and am thinking about my list.

Off to put beef in oven, and whip cream.

    Have a lovely day!

Ok what time shall I get Mr G up? I have my parents arriving about 1ish, he was supposed to be finishing work at 3am but didn't get in till 7am. Getting him up about 12.45 isn't too mean is it? We're also out later on and he's working nights tonight.

    Bah...

Thank you all for the hugs and support after my post last night. Had a rather emotional night, huge argument with DP over 'possessions'. Wont go into it in detail or we could be here all day lol.

    Ok my listy thing

    Best things....

    1. Finding this thread and all you wonderful people

    2. My family, who are always there for me when it counts
    3. My beautiful little boys, who drive me mad most of the time, but I couldnt imagine life without them
    4. Moving house
    5. Finding my way back into the working world after 6 years

    Remember most from this thread....

All of you, you've been there to listen to my ranting aswell as the good stuff. You are all so wonderful and supportive, its hard to believe that I havent actually met any of you IYKWIM.

Remarkable thing that changed me ....

Realising that I am a person in my own right. And not just a mother, a partner and all the other things that come with the job.

I also want to thank Pigpen for her lists, they keep us all motivated, without you we would all be living in hovels lol.

    THANX PIGPEN

Happy New Year to you all, I wish you all the health, wealth and happiness in the world..... you all deseve it!!!

    Afternoon all
Happy New Year to all our Fly Friends

We had a great time out at my friend's last night, so much so that we did not get home until 3.30 and the kids were awake before 10 am! It was a lovely relaxed evening with friends, food, drink (but only 1 for me as I was driving) music and chat :D They did say we could stay over but as I know the kids would want to play with their toys when they got up, plus we have had a lazy morning.

Caught up on the thread and read some fantastic lists from you all. I need to ponder that one as I don't know what to put yet.

Glad you all had a good time however you celebrated last night. Sending HUGS to Summermoon and hope things get resolved soon.

Better get lunch organised here before another friend calls round. Missed seeing her over Christmas as she had poorly family members to look after.

Will look in later, have a good day one and all xx

I'm now washed, dressed and have given my teeth a thorough clean (I have a gum infection, so need to call the dentist tomorrow).

Final coat of oil on the utility room worktop and spice racks (hope it isn't too thick, the others have dried very quickly). Shower curtain soaking in borax to try to get rid of the gunk at the bottom before washing. Hall radiator cleaned with my lakeland radiator brush (not used that often TBH)

So here's the list, which needs to be done by midday Sunday (and I'm working tomorrow):

    Clean radiator
Wipe skirting, door, door frame and numerous switches
    Hoover
    Wash floor

    Utility room
    Washing up
    To do/shopping list

Empty shelves, wipe and put back/chuck
Check bookshelf for space & remove unwanted books
Clear ironing board and deal with any paperwork immediately

    Dust (including pictures & lampshades)
    Clean window, frame & sill
    Wipe skirting, door, doorframe, lightswitch
    Hoover
    Wash floor

It's more manageable than it looks - for example, I hoover the whole of downstairs at once, the same with upstairs, and with the floors. But I like to have a detailed list so I can tick things off easily.

Off to clean the lampshades... that's a nice easy one!
