Going to go and put a wash on then get ready for work. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Pigpen's list...
Best happenings of 2008- Starting and completing 2 parts of my NQT year.
- Realising that I’m good at my job.
- Learning how to meal plan and therefore budgeting better.
- Being more adventurous with my cooking.
- Rejoining the flylady thread.
- The great support I’ve had and the friends I’ve made, who’ve encouraged me to never give up, and to keep looking for a teaching job.
- Realising that no matter how many problems some people face in life, they remain positive and inspire others (hence my NY Resolution to be more positive and moan less).
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Off to see mum now and then see DD who I think will be nursing a hangover.0

Best happenings..
- Getting married to a man who loves me and treats me well and having the loveliest day with family and friends.
- Realising that my health is more important than my job and finding this site to find a way to make the change
- Getting an A* in my evening class despite a lack of confidence and getting there from being a total beginner in just a few months.
- Realising that whatever happens I still have my family and friends and that they are truly amazing
- Getting away from my ex who totally destroyed my trust, self confidence and physically hurt me. I am pleased with my uneventful new life.
That there are random strangers on here that give me support to get through the day - it's such a warm feeling when good things happen to you guys I'm celebrating with you. You also remind me that most of you have been through worse than me and still come out smiling so I can keep my chin up too!
Remarkable thing that changed me- Realising my family and friends love me for the person I am and that I can do anything I want I just have to believe in myself
"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0 - Getting married to a man who loves me and treats me well and having the loveliest day with family and friends.

Morning all
Dailies half done, but I'm not dressed yet.
I'm really worried about the dinner. I'm cooking a joint of beef, bought before Christmas, use by 30th Dec, but went in the freezer, took it out to thaw on Tuesday, but put it in fridge yesterday and it went in the oven this morning. It smells funny, OH said he thought I was cooking fish! Does anyone have any knowledge of fishy beef??? If it's dodgy, we'll be having sausages.Whoever was asking about Mel Smith - Pink Fary? - I saw him too - there are rumours that he's in the early stages of Parkinsons but nothing confirmed.
Strange. I've worked with people with Parkinsons and none of them spoke like that. I wondered if he's had some damage to his palate or nose.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Morning all!!!
Finally dragged myself out of bed just gone 10am as I had to get the bread machine on. Now I really need to get on with soup cooking, going to put on broccoli soup and carrot and lentil soup. I have mushroom soup without the milk in yet ready but I'm not sure if people will want that.
Anyway hope all are well, should really get on!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
SPC2 #571 - trying to get as much as possible0 -
Right, after much soul searching, this is the best I can come up with:
5 best things (in no particular order)- Plucking up the courage to get the old sash window changed to patio doors
- Watching fellow flyladies 'grow' through the year e.g. Pigpen and her courses, Polkadot and her cakes etc.
- Being Santa Soappie
- Getting my Kenwood Chef for Christmas
- Best friend up the road being given the all clear after a health scare
That no matter how down I feel about things, there is always someone worse off than me and who has greater trials and tribulations in their life and that I should count my blessings rather than dwell on what I think are my 'curses'
Remarkable thing that changed me.
I don't think any one thing has changed me - I've slowly changed over the year and hope to change more in 2009I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
