Morning all! Well it is for me anyway!

Had the first spend of the month yesterday - managed to get away with just £13.00 exactly in Mr T's on fresh stuff and a few tins that will see us through to the weekend when the first big shop will get done.

Is anyone else totally sick of food? I'm fed up of fancy Christmas stuff, buffets, and sweets (although I am chomping my way through a tube of Pringles as I type!)
So this week I have decided to make a nice sweet potato curry, leek and potato soup and a veggie chilli for evening meals. The parents in law have invited us to dinner on New Years Eve so that's one less day to worry about but it will be more "faffy" food!

From the weekend onwards I'll be officially back on Slimming World so it'll be lots of fresh veg and fruit (a relief!) to shift the half a stone that's crept back on - only myself to blame, too much eating rubbish and drinking more tahn I should. Funnily enough I had a letter from the SW consultant today with encouragement to go back - will have to read it properly but I think it said something about free registration so its a good time to start again.

I'm off to think about meal plans for next week and write a shopping list trying hard to keep it healthy but cheap!

Have a good new years eve!
  • Hi. I haven't done this challenge for a couple of months but i need to get back in to my mse habits again. MrsM- could you put me down for £200, please.

  • Please can i rejoin... Last few months I have been so busy to keep up with anything, what with the wedding and house moving etc etc.. anyway i have noticed my weekly shop has crept back up to £80ish a week!!!!!!

I have fallen backwards to buying pizzas at £4 each and using meat in every meal, I feel very bad about it because i was doing so well before :(

So I am here and determined to be back on track, £200 a month please

    Thank you

Muddling through debt but can't see any light at the end of the tunnel??!!
  • I would love to join the challenge please. I think I spend way too much even though I do meal plan and batch cook and freeze left overs! I think it is all the extra snacks and treats I buy so the kids have already been told there will be cut-backs. I'm not a good baker but I am determined to try with DD1 this year. Looking forward to reading through the recipes when I get a minute.

Could I be put down for £280please - this is for me, OH, 2 daughters, 1 dog and 2 cats and will include all toiletries, cleaning products etc.

    Thanks!
