  • Can you count me in at £60 please, and I will try my hardest after my last failure!!:p
KEEP CALM AND keep taking the tablets :cool2:
  • Hi Everyone, and a big Welcome to all newbies.

Just to say that I keep a spending diary, page a day from poundland, I write down everything I spend in each shop and I keep every single receipt in a A5 envelope which is stuck to the back cover just in case.
A really good idea is to always check your receipt before you leave the shop it is unbelievable how many times I have been overcharged just in the last month. Dont mind if it is Tesco though.

    Good luck:D

  • Hi, can I join in too?

I've got a fridge and freezer that are overflowing with leftovers or things that were bought 'just in case' and haven't been touched .....well, I was cooking for nine for a couple of days and didn't know how much everyone would eat! It's back to just me again so I shouldn't need to buy much more than milk, bread and some fresh fruit and veg to keep me going for the month.

Can I set a target of £50 for January please?

My Dec was awful too, I totally lost count and was way over. Can I go for £200 in jan please...
  • Could you put me down for £200 to inc. all our food, takeaways, cat food/litter, cleaning products. Not sure how much we, (me, hubby and cat) spend as this is my 1st challenge this will give me an idea. Going to raid the freezer to see what is lurking in there and do a menu plan.
  • Hi - totally messed up December's challenge!!!

Will be in again though, for the New Year. Really need to keep my level of spending down as much as possible!

My budget is £400 for the month. This is for 2 adults, 3 children and includes packed lunches, cleaning stuff and contact lens solutions (oh...and nappies - but I stocked up last month when they were a 1/3 off at Tesco, so shouldn't need to buy any this month!;) )

Will really try to keep notes of where I'm at...I have my spending diary at the ready!!

  • I'll be joining in this month, aiming for £200 that's for me, h and a very hungry 2yr old. We've got quite a bit of meat in the freezer so am hoping it shouldn't be too hard but with 2 in nappies that adds a fair bit.

Right really need to cut down my grocery bill. I am gong to Mr T's once a week and once only:eek:

I am setting a budget for January of £100 but in reality hoping to spend a little less as my freezer is groaning with food and meals I made in December. Cupboards aren't too bad but may need a few bits. Quite well stocked in the fridge and don't need any alcohol as still well stocked from xmas. Will need fresh fruit and veg as DS eats lots of this but will try to source from veg shop/farm.

Don't need any toiletries as I could set up my own branch of boots.
