Pork is half price at tesco at the moment, making it £2.89 per kg - could you use this for your roasts?

Thank you for replies to my earlier question (very helpful!!) Just another question regarding veg box deliveries, does anybody else get these, I've started to get them again and not sure if it will cut my monthly food bill down. I only spend around £20 - £25, but I tend to make do with what is there for the week so it does keep me out of the shops, I also tell the children that when the fruits gone they will have to wait till the following week, just interested if anybody else gets these delivered and find it helps.

Good Morning Chums, as I have been really good about sticking to my budgets since September. I am going to lower it slightly, and for January I am going to have £44.00. This I think will be more than sufficient, as I have still got cupboards full of tins ect, and my freezer still has lots of food in it. I live alone and two days a week I eat at my DD's. so it's not a problem. At the moment I only have fresh milk to buy and a few veggies for the next week.

I would like to join in this month and start the year as I meant to go on.

I think I would like a budget of £300 and then reduce it down each month, instead of setting myself an impossible target and failing.

Will start from today I think.
