PN - just noticed on the nice people's thread you were complaining about being hot - is that weather related or were you daydreaming about the guys in the photo.

I don't know how to break this to you but you might not be their type.
aww.. you could have broken that to me nicely :(

Saw this thread had popped up again.
Channel 4 have a half hour film in the Coming Up series called 'food' @ 11 pm tonight.

n the near future, a catastrophic food crisis has led to the collapse of British society and the rise of extremism.
An official from the ailing government goes on an odyssey to find the leader of the dominant far-right party, intent on ending the madness and inhumanity.

I have put it on record ...hope to watch it later in the week.

Luckily, it only takes 10 seconds to report a silver ramping post.

Even less if you're a fast typist :)

Back to the thread - I didn't think I was stocking up on food, but I discovered 6 bags of black beans in the cupboard last night. I love my Mexican food and they were 30% off at Waitrose (the only place that seems to sell them near me).

You're not concerned about global warming then? ;)
Living for tomorrow might mean that you survive the day after.
It is always different this time. The only thing that is the same is the outcome.

Squirrel toasting forks are available on ebay and other retailers. Does anyone have an idea as to how long one would take in front of a two bar electric fire.

Can you imagine the wedding present lists of the future?

    Water purification kits
    Ray Mears cookbooks
    Squirrel toasting forks

In terms of unwanted wedding gifts that arrive in multiples, squirrel toasting forks could even be the new electric carving knife.

Lol, mint thread.... I'm in it in various guises including my original name, I've seemed of gained 380 more thanks in the last 2 years without posting :D
Have owned outright since Sept 2009, however I'm of the firm belief that high prices are a cancer on society, they have sucked money out of the economy, handing it to banks who've squandered it.

Given the reports of meteorites across northern Europe and the doubtless impending doom, I had to dust off my favourite thread ever and give it the resurrection it justly deserves.
