I've installed the unlocker, but when I try to use it an error message comes up stating that a file is missing (sting.ocx) and it won't run? I have tried re-installing and tried to run as administrator to no avail. I am using Win Vista, any idea's?

    download sting.ocx

It's actually "string.ocx", I got it wrong, do you know where I could get it from and where it goes?
  • For vista you also have to download "Msvbvm50.dll" from net and place it to System directory. Otherwise if try to run the software you will get error message that a file is missing (sting.ocx)

Nope, it is bad news, I just received this email from Orange:

    Hello,

We recently emailed you about your order for the Samsung F210 Blue on Pay as you go.

Due to the high demand for this offer we are now out of stock.

To avoid disappointment we have identified some alternatives that you may wish to choose from:
    Samsung E250 Blue
    Samsung J700
    Motorola ROKR E8
Simply email us your new choice of phone along with your Orange reference number to the address below, and we will fulfil your order as soon as possible.
  • What a shambles Orange have made of selling a phone.

I ordered mine on the 28th using quidco, the money was taken from my card and I was given an arrival date. No phone arrived. I was already worried because I had recieved a blank email from Orange and had not got a reply when I emailed them in reply.

I phoned Orange and was told they were out of stock but assured my order would be honored as they had taken my money.
Rang again the next day and was given a tracking number and told my phone would be arriving Tuesday (tomorrow).

This evening I get an email telling me my phone is out of stock and would I like to buy something else from them instead. Of course it is too late to phone Orange to find out if my phone is coming or not tomorrow, but what do they care about that, they have already kept me waiting in one day.

How could a telecommunications company make such a mess of selling a phone? How could such a large company as Orange take money for stock they do not yet own or cannot guarantee owning. I have bought high spec mobiles cheaper than this from them before so I don't believe it is a pricing error. I will never use them again as they cannot be trusted to complete their transactions.
When I buy and pay for a phone it is because I need a phone!
  • I just got the same email as above.

    Hello,

No you didn't. (Unless they mean the order confirmation sent on the 27th?)
Due to the high demand for this offer we are now out of stock.
But you said more was coming in?
To avoid disappointment we have identified some alternatives that you may wish to choose from:
    etc..

:( I ordered on the 27th and they debited my account straight away. (First I have heard from them since then) - waited in all day last Tuesday for nothing.

You paid £18 for the phone!!!! These are still selling for £70+ Get real! have some patience, at the very worst you will get your money back so what have you lost?

As a previous post, these should have only been discounted by £20 so the price was a mistake. some you win some you lose:rolleyes:

Why on earth would anyone buy something from Orange on the hope it might arrive? You might as well use ebay or a dodgy market stall. A company this big needs to trade in a way that is different to those sort of competitors.

Besides Orange always sell phone of this kind of spec at a very low price. Had I realised it was a gamble buying from Orange I would have bought my phone elsewhere. The only reason I used them is because I am desperate for a phone and figured Orange would be the most reliable place to buy one. :wall:

This is not the best time for companies to lose their professional standards.

Got the email too and I ordered on the 26th.

Well orange will not fobbed me off that easily. I will demand that they either honoured the original contract or give me the £50 discount on another phone in line with the £50 off on this one. Everyone should do the same.

Just got the same email too, i ordered on the 27th.

    What a shambles.
  • I took the email to mean that they would provide any of the phones in the list as a 'like for like' replacement (ie without paying any extra). So I emailed them my different choice. If they charge me extra then I will just send it back for a refund anyway.
