 AREA 1-
dont litter ur area, dont burgle ur neighbours, watch out for ur neighbours, dont hassle neighbours, teach ur kids good manners so consequently less trouble in area when everyone does this in the area, consequently they will live in a 'good area' due to the efforts the people in the area put in and they way their life style is, but now it looks like u end up paying more for leading a better way in the community
 AREA 2-
litter u area, burgle ur neighbours, play the drums thru the night and disturb the neighbours, drink all hours of the day and trouble the neighbours, dont take care of ur kids who become asbo demons for everyone etc etc etc consequently this area becomes not so nice to live in
but then this govt comes along with this brilliant plan to subsidise the 2nd group by penalising the 1st group for their good behaviour. just like everything else with this govt. penalise the good guys and encourage the scumbags. encourage people to be on the dole and penalise the working. let out criminals early from prison but prosecute homeowners who defend their house against burglars, keep on giving community sentences for criminals who repeatedly offend etc rather than lock them away and throw away the key(dont think there will ever be a 3 strikes and you are out rule like is there in some states in the usa where criminals get long sentences after 3 offences), subsidise the !!!!!! banks while ordering the better banks to lend like the !!!!!! banks. try to cut down everyones wage hikes while giving themselves massives perks and second homes and what not.
dont know what makes sense or what is a better idea anymore
i am not saying everyone in area 2 is at fault neither am i saying everyone in area1 is great but on the whole isnt the area good or sh1!!t because of what the people who live there are up to ?????? If that is true then shouldnt they be paying the price for their bad behavior or get credit for their good behavior rather than get fined.
It isn't about penalizing 'nice areas' to subsidize bad ones. Half the time it isn't that an area is '!!!!!!' because of the way people there are, it's because they are neglected by those in power. At a local, and a national level. People feel disenfranchised and I don't blame them to be quite honest given the attitudes that a lot of people show them. The vast majority are decent, law abiding people.
Just because some lives in a good area doesn't mean they're well behaved. A lot of the middle class kids I know are just as much trouble as less well off ones since they can afford drugs and alcohol. The parents who 'look after them' throw money at them and don't care what they're getting up to. You're living in cloud cuckoo land if you think the problem of disrespectful/troublemaking youths in society is confined to the lower strata of society.
If you want to live in a nicer area with better schools, nicer surroundings, less congestion, then you should expect to pay for it.
To put it another way, why should those without these things pay as much as those who do?“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

Oh sorry, must have misread the tone of your post.
But what I said does stand about people who do complain about people they know who avoid tax or cheat with benefits. Be part of the solution!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

So it is the people in powers fault when the locals dump all their rubbish in the streets?
Next thing you will be blaming the government for the amount of dog poo left on the pavements in these areas?

In general people respond to the attitude thrown out before making any judgements.

On the whole it is that way because the government doesnt care for the lower classes, Oh sorry speaking like you now.

 Why?
To put it another way, why should those without these things pay as much as those who do?
Why should we pay more for where we live, we contribute enough in taxes towards the lazy lower class who cant be bothered to get off their lazy bums and make something of their life.
We wall come into this world with nothing and make our own choices for what we become, it is not the government who is to blame but ourselfs.0

wonder what the labour MPs residential area would be on the niceness scale when regraded as per this plan. bet that area would curiously escape the hike in tax, me thinks.
Looking at mine, I could be in for a rebate!!!
certainly no incentive to tidy up after christmasRemember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

No, but people have no incentive to look after the area they live in. I'm not saying everyone is great, and yeah a lot of people don't care who should. But the majority should not be penalized. In general people respond to the attitude thrown out before making any judgements.
Often they react to a percieved attitude that is thrown out, based on what they hear in the pub, read in the press, whatever suits their prejudices. On the whole it is that way because the government doesnt care for the lower classes, Oh sorry speaking like you now.
I'm just saying no one is perfect, dividing society into the good and bad is simplistic and wrong. Why?
Because that's how economics works. Why should we pay more for where we live, we contribute enough in taxes towards the lazy lower class who cant be bothered to get off their lazy bums and make something of their life.

Do you honestly believe there is no gap in opportunity in this country?

It does look like nonsense. We currently pay extra based on how 'nice' an area was 15 years ago. I don't see how doing it based on how nice it is now is a backwards step...Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!0

Dear God, please don't let these idiots get in again.
Time to give up work & join the benefits class if they do......
Hey, if you can't beat em, join em!0

I give up. I'm waiting for the Daily Express to describe having a higher rate for people on over £150k a year as "Secret Plan for Tax on Good Jobs" Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!0 Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!0
