That want all the trapping of wealth with none of the effort, so just take from others. At least thieves have some honour, socialists have none.
Agreed. Dorset pays a high price for being traditionally blue.0 -
Look at the Government debt, and it hardly takes a genius to work out that new taxes will be needed. Quite why they can't be honest and merge Income Tax and NI and increase that is beyond me, as it is transparent and based on ability to pay. Then cut waste (Wars & ID cards would be a good start), clamp down on tax avoidance/ evasion by the wealthy, and you might start getting close without using daft scams. And don't worry, i am sure that Scameron will also have some nice hidden taxes.0

Is this not the usual nonsense story? If tax is raised on the basis of the value of houses, nice ones will pay more, as they're worth more.I'd certainly not be impressed if I had to pay the same property tax for my flat above a bookies inbetween two council estates as a flat in a warehouse conversion on the thames a mile north, even if they were identical on the inside!Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!0

AREA 1-
dont litter ur area, dont burgle ur neighbours, watch out for ur neighbours, dont hassle neighbours, teach ur kids good manners so consequently less trouble in area when everyone does this in the area, consequently they will live in a 'good area' due to the efforts the people in the area put in and they way their life style is, but now it looks like u end up paying more for leading a better way in the community
AREA 2-
litter u area, burgle ur neighbours, play the drums thru the night and disturb the neighbours, drink all hours of the day and trouble the neighbours, dont take care of ur kids who become asbo demons for everyone etc etc etc consequently this area becomes not so nice to live in
but then this govt comes along with this brilliant plan to subsidise the 2nd group by penalising the 1st group for their good behaviour. just like everything else with this govt. penalise the good guys and encourage the scumbags. encourage people to be on the dole and penalise the working. let out criminals early from prison but prosecute homeowners who defend their house against burglars,
It's about par for the course with this governments way of thinking. Work hard at school and university, get a well paid job and them subsidise the families of those who didn't work hard at school .....Tax Credits!0 -
Not sure if it's a nonsense story...certainly glad to see lots of money being spent on all these clever systems and codings, though!!0

Tory press feeding the anti-Government mobs again. Stirring unrest rather than reporting news must be easier at this time of year.
Why do people buy newspapers? I guess it is so that they can have an opinion.
GGThere are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.0 -

How about the Plumbers, Brickies etc declare all the money they earn and pay the correct tax and hey presto more tax going into the coffers so everyone pays the correct amount for what they get.0 -

The average earners tax avoidance pale in insignificance against the wealthy. In Progress!!!0 -
Oh is that right, I know a plumber that has never paid any tax on his earnings and he has been doing this job for 20 years and I pay him a day rate of £135, so how much tax shoould he have paid? and how many others are out there doing the same? The average earners tax avoidance pale in insignificance against the wealthy.
How many taxi drivers do nice little airport runs for cash?
How many trades do cash in hand work on saturdays?
How many LL's pump the cash they get in their grubby little hands straight in their pockets.
How many people copying CD's Dvds etc pay tax on these gains?
How many gardeners declare their loot.
Get real it goes on all the time and must cost the Government billions of pounds.0 -

So I suppose you've reported him to the relevant authorities? Actually done something to solve the problem rather than just whinge from your desk chair?“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0
