I found a heart shaped box crying out to be altered and was gonna use it and put a tag with the poem and a passport photo of my four kids attached to it too so it needs to be from "us" instead of "me"

This is a great idea, I guess you could change it to something 'that you can always see' if you made a little box with some pictures in it of your family etc

i love those little boxes and remember going to a friends when we were at college and her mum had one, its the only one ive ever seen and reading the poems here brought it all back! I think i will make some of these from the boys for christmas

Thanks sian... i had ordered passport photos of my kids to put in some christmas cards and one of them will be perfect for the box.

I finally got round to making an advent calender, just like NEGirls. It was very time consuming to make but really enjoyed making it. Pics on my blog.:j

Unfortunately, I think I've left it too late to start knitting gifts now - (I may make some Rocky Road though - just seen it on another part of this site- mmmmm!) - but there are loads of free crochet and knitting patterns HERE and also some gifts in a jar ideas etc.- perhaps next Christmas!

I want to make some yummy edible gifts for friends and family this year and have a day off this week with the house to myself to make a start. Does anyone know of anything that if I make it now it will keep so I can give it as Christmas presents?
