I want to make some yummy edible gifts for friends and family this year and have a day off this week with the house to myself to make a start. Does anyone know of anything that if I make it now it will keep so I can give it as Christmas presents?
    Thanks!

Many of the things mentioned would need to be made justa few days ahead but someone mentioned that the fudge is best after freezing.

not sure if this is the right thread but I am making a photo calendar for kids dad, 13 pages including front cover. Can anyone help me as I dont know how to attach it all together so he can turn the pages over and still keep it all together. (not rip the page off to see the next month)
    TIA

Hey, I love this site and there are some good ideas on it.

I made some cranberry and white chocolate fudge and some damson gin before and I am going to make some homemade spice rub for my bro in a nice jar and some scented sugar I think, yummy!, I also have the recipe for spiced pecans if I can find out who to give them too! I don't want to give gifts just so I can use something I have made :)

Chutney would probably be a good one, some nice jars and something like the onion and raisin one on the Martha Stewart website it would be fairly cheap and you could write a lovely tag about using it with left over turkey :)

You could get it bound at a stationers if you want, or you could punch holes and use book rings or ribbon through it, leaving another hole through in the middle for hanging on :)

I blogged my Christmas angels last night. I made them from some scraps and a cheap set of £1 wooden angels from Tesco. Going to make a set for my Dad and my MIL :D
