ok i managed to scale down and make a quick tutorial on making the smaller jars of muffin mix - so much easier with premixed ingredients so i think you should either use a packet mix or mix all the ingredients and scale accordingly. Check out my blog for full instructions....

    Help!
For DD1 b'day party we're having a cooking theme so as a take home gift I was thinking of doing Smarties Cookies In A Jar but don't really want to give all those 7yo girls glass jars.
I have some gift bags which comfortably holds 3 cups of flour (I measured it!) but I can't find a recipe for that quantity.
Does anyone have one for that or one that can be scaled?
Also the instructions always seem to be US and I'd live a UK version.

    Can anyone help out?

    Thanks

What about doing them in the 'Snowman Soup' style? Use the large cello cones to put the mix in, drop this inside a second cone, smarties/choc chips etc at the top, tie up with pretty ribbon and add an instruction label.

Actually sounds like a good idea for using up my extra cello cones at my upcoming Xmas fair!

    HTH
  • I think I might have asked before but can't remember so apologies if I already have, but what size cones do you use for the snowman soups and do you always supply a mug with them? I have loads of them to make and not sure if i can afford to buy so many mugs, although b&m have lovely christmas ones 2 for £1.
*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*

Cheers missus elf, may see if we can do it as the card challenge rather than the card swap as think it suits better, I'll speak to the ladies and see what they think ;)
