The only thing I've gotten finished as yet is my cones - 22 of them to date. Spoon one's have cinnamon coffee for the adults, and the candy canes have hot choc with cinnamon for those that don't like coffee and for the kids. I have a load of the amaretto biscuits left and am at a bit of a loss what to do with them. I've been thinking about making some fridge cake with them perhaps?
It's a tad tricky to see, but they have sugar cubes in the hot choc, and mint chocs in the coffee, with amaretto biscuits in each cause I had so many of them.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Where did you buy your cones...they are gorgeous!0 -
got them from a seller called jjcm0312 on ebay (if you want to search for them)
listings were called
25 Medium Clear CONE Cello Bags Party/Favour cellophane £2.89
25 clear/pattern cone cello bags £2.99
the clear one's are inside the patterned and I saved the top off cuts for on top of some of the jars of pickles that I intend to make.
Was really impressed, they were fast and well packed with my other stuff from him, and with a good postage discount - though I did pay about £40/50 in totalAlmost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

Love the cup cake cards but think they'd be too fiddly for me to do.........no telling what I'd end up with:rotfl:
Well, while doing my wrapping -well more like the clearing up after - I found two pairs of womens socks, grey and black stripes I forgot I'd bought.........now just have to think of a way to wrap them to make them look better than just pairs of socks and decide who's having them.
Finished off sons girlfriends sketchbook I'd covered -managed to find enough of the letters I'd got to put 'sketches' on the top..............now I seem to have mislaid a notebook I covered with fabric:eek: and the lightbulbs blown in the spare room
Time to down tools I think till tomorrow.
What about sock cupcakes, they make just a pair of socks look very pretty.0 -
Shortie - the socks would make a lovely sock monkey but sadly my poor old fingers aren't that nimble...........
Might have a go at making them as cup cakes.........have to make a case though thats the right colour............
Keep telling myself I've finished 'buying and making'...............lol:rotfl: but maybe not..............:rotfl:
edit - just had a thought............wonder what the socks would be like if I sewed on a santa or snowman or something and filled them with sweets to be hung up christmas eve ?I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I actually tried this a while back and wasn't happy with the way they looked cause there was to much elastic in the socks and they just looked a but bulgy. I was moderately happy with them when I put some stuffing (the other sock or cotton wool) in the toe and a empty toilet roll in the ankle as it made them look like 'stockings' and still left me space to put things in. I want to try them this year with a satuma(sp) in the toe, but I think it might be a bit heavy.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

Wondered about that just after I'd added to my post...........maybe mens socks would be better for putting things in...............might bear that in mind for next year.
These two pairs..........well I might end up just rolling each pair up and tying a ribbon round them..............maybe -think I've got some black ribbon somewhere with snowflake pattern onI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
