Hi everyone
I've only just found this thread so I have a lot of pages to catch up on tonight! I'm very excited about Christmas and already follow quite a few Christmas threads on here, can't believe I missed this one!
I'm going to make Pots of Gold this year, in fact they are nearly done, just need to buy the scratchcards then wrap them up with the cellophane. I'm also hoping to have a go at a Pint of Socks as I think they look great.
I've already made my Mum's notebook. I bought a very cheap notebook from Wilkinsons (15p) and covered it with green felt. On the green felt I have sewn on alphabet beads to spell out 'Car Boot', and have also attached a big fabric flower. My Mum is a bargain addict and uses a notebook to write down things she's looking out for at car boot, so I think she'll really like this.
Oh, and I'm also hoping to make lots of chocolate slabs from my son to all his family.
Looking at this list I'd better get a move on!Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
These little boxes http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-X-GREEN-PARTY-FOOD-BOX-LUNCH-BIRTHDAY-LOOT-SINGLE_W0QQitemZ120251215694QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET?hash=item1bff87ef4e look great when decorated and filled with goodies such as homemade sweet selection, nuts and mini bottles of wine, pamper kit - cotton wool, face mask, hand cream, retro sweets, kids play box - pack of snap cards, dominos, a yo yo etc.
With regards to decoration - go mad using punchies, sequins, recyled bows, buttons, card scallops, raffia round the handles and homemade tags - I like to make mine in the shape of gingerbread men and women.

Love the cup cake cards but think they'd be too fiddly for me to do.........no telling what I'd end up with:rotfl:
Well, while doing my wrapping -well more like the clearing up after - I found two pairs of womens socks, grey and black stripes I forgot I'd bought.........now just have to think of a way to wrap them to make them look better than just pairs of socks and decide who's having them.
Finished off sons girlfriends sketchbook I'd covered -managed to find enough of the letters I'd got to put 'sketches' on the top..............now I seem to have mislaid a notebook I covered with fabric:eek: and the lightbulbs blown in the spare room
Time to down tools I think till tomorrow.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
