They are from Freeman & Harding - £7.50 per 10 which isnt bad 75p each concidering you can fill the lids etc :D
Thanks NEGirl, I liked the idea for the cookie mix the topping could go in the lid. But postage is 7.95 and increased 10.00 for Northern Ireland [where i am]- thats 1.75 per jar which is ok, but ill just have to keep looking for now.

Ack i forgot about the postage costs - i placed a rather large *cough* order so the postage wasnt too much when it was split between all the jars i bought.....will keep an eye out to see if i find anymore on my travels :)

I think 1.75 a jar is good price, but i dont really need 10, and initially thought i could sell the rest on, however being glass postage would be high and therefore not worth it! I think ill stick will old nescafe and the recipient can just pick out the topping from the jar carefully, not to get it mixed with the flour etc!

can I ask a question, if you put baking powder into the jar with other ingredients does it start working straight away or does baking powder only work when mixed with an egg etc
how far ahead can you make these cookie in a jar mixes ??

As far as im aware the baking powder doesnt start working until its mixed with a fluid of some sorts......could be wrong but ive never had a problem with mine :) You can make it as far ahead as you need to just make sure you label when the first thing goes out of date - so if the flour is use by 9/10 and the baking powder was 3/10 you would have to make it up before March.... :)

Kim if you put the flower at the bottom of the jar and all the other ingredients in with the smarties on top then its easier to tip the sweets out without the dusty ingredients coming out too - Sharon put her smarties on top of the oats which would mean a few oats may come out but at least they can be picked up and popped back in the main mix. does that make sense? :rotfl:

could you just put the topping in a cello bag on top of the other ingredients so it doesnt mix in with the other ingredients?

You could even out it in a themed bag that you can get on ebay.
