ok i managed to scale down and make a quick tutorial on making the smaller jars of muffin mix - so much easier with premixed ingredients so i think you should either use a packet mix or mix all the ingredients and scale accordingly. hey all, I really want to make some fudge for people for Christmas and I would like to practice now to get a good recipe, does anyone have a tried and tested recipe? I just bought a sugar thermometer so that should help (I think)
Thanks in advance!God is good, all the time

I have a load of the amaretto biscuits left and am at a bit of a loss what to do with them. I've been thinking about making some fridge cake with them perhaps?
They are quite hard aren't they? Maybe something like a tirimisu where you soak them in coffee first and layer them with some cream
Mmm, am hungry now!God is good, all the time

Wow these are great well done
Love the little spoon can i ask where you got these please?
My partners into medieval reeneactment and I got them from this lady http://www.anniethepedlar.com/ she sends things out on approval so if you don't like what you ordered you can send them back no hassle. she does mass produced wooden spoons (rather than the £7 hand made one's there) for (I think) £2. Not cheap, but only 6 of them were spoons and it looks nice.
TBH I've not seen cheaper spoons elsewhere, but you could try ebay? Make sure the spoon is from a fruit wood, or Ash, or check with the seller that it's been heat sealed as pine, yew and some other sorts of tree can have nastly tasting and toxic sap which can be released when put in hot liquid. Heat sealing evaperates and breaks down most of the sap (basically it's baked in an oven to season)
I also got a load of her spiral headed pins (she makes them herself) as they're really nifty to hold things like flannel cakes together rather than using cocktail sticks - £1 each.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
