  • Just wondering if anyone else is like me (probably not:rotfl:) It took me hours to get to sleep last night! All I could think about was making things for christmas:rolleyes: sock monkeys, dammit dolls, cards, snowman soup:rotfl: My head is full of ideas, designs, colours etc! At this rate I'm going to be too exhausted to make anything(thats my excuse when I don't get half of it done) On top of that my new crafting for christmas book arrived yesterday so now I've got a whole book full of new things to make:eek:

  • Thanks sethsgran, I'll order some medium ones then. :T

Sounds good to me at that price.
Cones -- I would go with the medium size. Don't forget you need 2 cones for each snowman. First fill with drinking choc and then secure with rubber band, then put this one inside the second cone and add toppings choc marshmallows etc then secure with rubber band ribbon and tag
  • All these ideas... I need so much time, someone needs a reciepe for more time!!
I think I am sorted with 6 of 10 neices and nephews they are all getting various hampers this year.Trouble is if I keep looking here I want to do more and more things. I also have the not being able to get to sleep problem...there is just too much to do.
  • Hi everyone,

Been trying to keep up with the thread whilst on nights, but lots is happening!
I've been trying to cram in a birth cross stitch sampler i'm doing for my niece. She was born in June but i've told her mum i'm aimimg for Christmas. Don't think they'd be too impressed if I turned up and covered the nurses station in paper and glitter!

But I wanted to ask Jenagain what is felt food and has anyone got a piccy of the mug cozies? I can't knit but they sound fab!

Hey Silverchair, I'm making these little birdies as tree decorations myself this year

    birdy.jpg

I tried them with lovely deep purples and red fabric samples from curtain and sofa websites but it frays too easily and is hard to sew with so I guess it'll have to be felt, I don't like the bright colours though, wanted them to be more rich and dark. Boyes have loads of lovely felt colours if you have one near you?

Oh I love that!!! I've got lots of felt scraps so I shall have a go.

I made these last year for our tree - they raised a laugh

  • Pooky, those unhappy gingerbread men are amazing! I was going to make little felt gingerbreads for our tree or as a garland this year (one of the million things on my To Do list :o) but if you don't mind I'd like to steal your idea and do these instead? Can I ask what you used for the buttons and the eye?
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important
