Well its official! I'm addicted to making dammit dolls:D Here is my second attempt. The pics not great doesn't really show the colours well.

    017.jpg

fedupandskint/Mary - To do the hair I cut some pieces of wool (well actually this is supposed to be dolls hair but I think its just the same as wool)and then laid them on top of the dolls head and back stitched a line from the front to the back(sort of gave it a centre parting) does that make sense:confused: Once its attached to the head you can style it how you like I suppose;)

dizzytina - put 'ditties and poems' in the search box on here and the thread should come up.

stardrops - second one is beautiful too..............don't think I'll do one this year though.........was aiming to do one for grandaughter -started on and overstuffed it so it poked through the felt. Hadn't thought of using other material -daft me:rotfl::rotfl:

Doing well so far today..........gravytub is now an owl waiting to be filled with 'poo' for my friend -just need right coloured sock for the hat.
Re-did tic tac snowman (first one didn't look right)
Cut out some felt flowers in white for sons girlfriends gloves.............they're pale grey and the sort that can be mittens -top folds over and fastens with a button so I've cut hold in the felt flowers and popped it over the button, bit of pva and some white thread round the edge.
Seem to be catching up on the half done bits..............gave up on mousemat doorhanger though........its not going to stick so have ordered some proper wooden ones...........all I'll have to do (with luck) is peel off the paper from mousemat one and put it on the other.
Friends book of 'friendship' quotes is next............need to get water colours out and 'age' the paper with the quotes on before I stick them in little scrapbook - think that'll be a tomorrow job.:j

stardrops - very satisfying to finish stuff..........very frustrating when you come across things you meant to do and hadn't got round to..........thats how the gloves came about............got them in January..............lol Put them 'somewhere safe'.................old old story -looking for something else and there they were...:rotfl:
Bound to me more like that lurking around the house............still, I can almost see my other desk now........:rotfl:

  • Hi guys

Still trying to catch up but wondered if anyone has seen instructions for marshmallow men made from various mallow shapes on a skewer

Saw some at a fair or seaside rock shop years ago they were cute and must be easy to make but cannot remember what it looked like

Also anyone used maltesers in the snowman soup?...........my bags arrived today :0)

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Shaz, don't know about marshmallow men but I've left you a link for marshmallow snowman stirrers on the snowman soup thread which might be good if they're for Christmas presents?
