Why are men so stubborn ? Took me days to get him to agree to go to the doctors...........

irishgirl - the one I did for my son in April was in felt and blanket stitch..........didn't turn out too bad (he loved it -something to chuck at the wall if he gets stressed out.........lol) Never thought of using other fabric and have to sew by hand so blanket stitch was easy.............wonder if it would work as well with other fabric...........only way to find out is to try.

All I've managed this morning is little gift bags to put the pebbles in ................lol :rotfl:

    http://creativeoutletdesigns.blogspot.com/2007/12/diy-wheat-sacks-tutorials.html

made from 1 side of a pillowcase from charity shop for 20p so cost 10p for material and 60p for 1 bag pearl barley (did all three) i had the oil and thread etc in but can buy Bell$ oils for 99p at B0yes so minimal so about 25p each!

    picture to follow

Just hit on little idea that cost next to nothing...........I'd got some pebbles from years back in a bowl..........took three out and used some stick on letters I'd got to put on each one so they now say 'smile', 'laugh', 'be happy'
Just one on each...........not all three words on one.............lol Makes a cheapy gap filler for teenage grandkids.
Was going to try and paint it on but don't think it'd look much good............and this way was quicker.........lol:rotfl:

The rub on letters from craft shops look good on pebbles small pebbles could have magnets glued on and be used for fridge magnets or to go with a magnetic board to help kids with spelling

    HI guys,

Sorry for crashing your thread but I see you're all keen crafters.

I have won two tickets to the international craft and hobby fair Creative stitches and hobycrafts event at cardiff international arena for any day 1-3 October 2009. No where near me! Happy to pass on though - entry will be ok as you just have to hand in the letter

Free to anyone who would like them, first to pm me gets them!

    Cheers

    Katy
