thank you Janey, i keep looking out for baskets, so this is excellent. i've ordered two lots of the rectangle hampers.

i love reading this thread and keeping up with it. havent written much on it, but i'm currently doing lots of crafting.
just finishing off cross stitch bookmarks this week (i will hopefully post a pic of them, once they're all laminated and ready)
have made lots of jams/chutneys/pickles for xmas hampers,
next few weeks i'll be crocheting some figures for my little ones, going to be making cupcake and reindeer flannels, pint o socks, knickerbocker cocktails (similar to pint of socks, but with 3 diff coloured knicks for the ladies, made to look like a cocktail with a stirrer and umbrella)
wooden signs, and then any other ideas i pick up on this site!!!!
also my friend has asked me to set up a stall of crafts for her coffee morning so i'm busy busy - but will post some pics when i finish off projects.

Not much 'crafting' today..........OH had a better night last night so hopefully antibiotics are working but think I must have lay awake listening to see how he was. So, too shattered to do anything that I have to really think about.
Looking for some free country graphics to put in my friends little 'friendship quote' scrapbook -never know.........might find enough to get it at least half done.............lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • My gosh isn't everyone busy!!!:T
I must try and stop looking! Everytime I log on there is something new that I need to make! Not enough room in the house and we've just moved to a bigger place!Need a garden 'office' like I used to have but bigger.:D

RE the reindeer food....what does everyone use instead of glitter (don't want to use that, want it to be animal friendly) the only problem I have is all the coloured sugar strands and edible glitter only comes in tiny quantities and I need lots...making for sons nusery fundraiser! I have tried ebay but maybe I am not typing in the right search words. HEEEELLLPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

me too, i want to make them for all the kids in my sons class... i was thinking sugar strands/stars/sprinkles of some sort... but need a larger amount of them, cheap as possible
  • you can make your own edible sugar/glitter easily and in large quantities, just take normal caster sugar, put in a tiny amount of food colouring, and knead it through with the back of a spoon until the colouring has been worked through all of the sugar. Just make sure you don't put too much in because it wiill make the sugar go watery and horrible. That way you can make lots of different colours too, and it's wildlife friendly.
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

Nearly finished my friends little 'friendship' scrapbook.............got the quotes and found some images I printed off.............just needs a bit of floral decoration here and there and thats another one done.
Still feel like I've loads to do................... but then I look at the spare room and its so full of stuff I think I must be up to date.............then remember grandchildren (twins) have a birthday as well, so does sons girlfriend.......so I've not finished yet. So much for my August deadline.............lol:rotfl:

  • mary-op i like the idea of a friendship scrap book what did you do??
A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j

  • I've now got 3 events to sell at and an ever growing list of ideas, driving me crazy already hehe!

I've had a go at a couple of these bags, now just need to buy the license to sell them, that comes with a pattern for a bigger version too which I definitely want:

I really don't want to sell this one, I love the seagulls! It has a bright turquoise lining with a pocket too. I've got a pinky-purple cordrouy one on the go as well at the moment, with pink and white gingham lining.

I've also been making some little bags meant for holding makeup/phone/keys etc together in a bigger bag:

I've made one reuseable 'snack pouch':

I've started cards (birthday and 1 christmas so far!):

I have several sock monkey torsos finished, I just hate doing the rest of them :rotfl: They look a bit scary though so will sit down one evening this week and get them started.

I've also started making brooches from fabric yoyos and buttons, and some felt christmas decorations. I would like to do some dammit dolls too, the ones on here so far are brilliant!

Does anyone think the stuff I've done so far will sell? Now I've got patterns sorted and know what I'm aiming for I seem to be going much quicker so hopefully will have a good amount of stock by then.
