  • Just come back from Wilko's and bought the matchboxes

10 matchboxes in a pack for 39p x 3 packs to try the advent calender.

Only problem is I have noticed they are a little shallow in depth and I am not sure what will fit in them!

Was thinking of splitting up a tin of Quality Street or Roses (eat the rest and use the tin for storage!) but the boxes don't look deep enough to fit a choccie into now!

fedupandskint - maybe there's a few really small 'toys' you could get to put in the boxes ?(depending on age) Or are there any really small sweets about ? Not done one of those so I'm not a lot of help...........

Well, my door knob hangers came this morning so managed to get my friends almost finished...........they're a bit bigger than my mousemat attempt so had to start from scratch -just waiting for wallpaper paste to dry then I can put embellishments on (I'm sure I used wallpaper paste last year!)
Nearly finished friends scrapbook.........just need some little gem things for the centres of the flowers.

While I've got the paste mixed I might get around to covering another shoe box tomorrow.

love the nightlights in a jar..............now why didn't I think of that ??

  • I made these yesterday:

a double sided beer mat calender that stands up on a desk

A journal in a jar that I made for a notebok swap on another forum.

I used a plastic jar as I had to post it and wanted to keep the costs down.

    Hi ladies

admiring all your wonderful crafting - I need to get started!!!

Could anyone help? I read about home made soap on mse somewhere - I think it was on someone's blog - Can anyone help? I think it was using normal soap bars as the base. Hope someone has a better memory than me!!
I think you may have been referring to Eagerlearners blog here.
I use her soap recipes (mostly castille as a base) and have become quite addicted to essential oils because of her (I cant live without my lavendar roomspray anymore)

    HTH

eta: just scroll to the bottom of the linked page for her goats milk cleanser which links to loads of other recipes.
