• Mum's busy baking,
cooking and cleaning,
peeping out from a parcel
something is gleaming.

Tonight is the night
do you know what for?
A magical train
will arrive by your door!

If you want to go
(and I hope that you do!)
There'll be lots of children
going there too!

The train gives a whistle,
"DUE NORTH!" is its goal,
to Santa ...the elves
... to the North Pole!!!

A wonderful time
will be had by all there,
You'll see elves wrapping presents
with love and with care.

You'll see reindeer and Santa
as they prepare for their flight,
then homeward you'll journey
at the speed of light!

And when you awake
as Christmas is dawning,
you'll hardly believe
where you've been,
come the morning!!

Is this any good? *S*
• jenagain, your bags are so lovely. Hope your BIL is on the mend soon xx
• Thank you polkadot for your reply about the blog I was looking for - you were right - I have now added it to my favourites - thanks again:)
• I've been starting some of the craft projects I said I would and so far have done

this lil sock monkey for DS, think will do another one in blue/white stripy socks because he is a bit scruffy and it's my first try:

and these little decorations for my tree - 2 half eaten gingerbread men and a jack skeleton head

"]th_IMG_0748-1.jpg

sorry if they are not so clear, my camera is quite old!

Have also made a mug cosy for my sister and hoping to cover a notebook for her too!

Having a rummage looking for something (can't remember what now........lol) and found empty notelet box shaped like a book........I can cover the front and back but can't think what to put it in other than notelets, notebooks, and stuff like that but I've already sorted those out for people.
Any ideas ?

Could you put lots of different affirmations in it - positive messages that the person could take out one at a time ....bit like the journal jars?
o
Or this..?
This is a Box of Friendship
It’s sent with love to show
Our friendship means the world to me
More than you’ll ever know.
So even if we’re far apart
Or haven’t spoken for a while
This will remind you I think of you often
And always with a smile.
There is no need to unwrap it
But if you’re feeling blue
Just hold this box close to your heart
Because it’s filled with love for you.

( then you place this poem inside with the items mentioned - you can adapt as you want )

So curiosity got the better of you!
You had to peek inside
Wondering what surprises
This little box may hide.
Here is a sixpence to bring you luck
A heart to bring you love
A chocolate to bring you happiness
And to bring you peace, a tiny dove.
These little gifts I give to you
Because I really wanted to say
I’m so very grateful for our friendship
And I treasure it every day.

HTH xx:T

• Mary-Op, How about chocolate? Always a good one! Maybe a diary or a nice pen? Or some photos? How big is the box?

Jenagain - I love your bags! I'm another "bag lady" I love the blue one. Do you have a set of patterns that you use? Hope you have a better week this week.

Haven't done much as did a week of nights and was away for a week. Did get some lovely Christmas crafty bits from a little shop near my mum :) Have been catching up on here to get back in the mood for crafting again.
Need to get going with the Christmas cards I think. I want to have them written before long. One of my dreaded tasks, makes my arm ache!!
