I found a tin in the cupboard that I got a Jamie Oliver mug in at Xmas last year and have turned it into this with a bit of scrapbook paper and some double-sided tape, what do you think...
All the contents co-ordinates with the same paper and it all just about fits in the tin. I think it's a very cheap but pretty pressie
Can I be Silly? But what is the little packet to the left of the tin? Looks interesting!:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

yippee - my pile of pebbles idea I got from a site called digital design (I think) or Danielle's place............copyright wouldn't let me copy instructions but it was on a list of Fathers Day pressies that kids could make using three pebbles (one for dad, two for kids) stuck in a dish with google eyes stuck on them and Dad Rocks painted on the front of the dish.
For mine I had just one biggish pebble with google eyes, a few smaller pebbles around it all stuck in a stone dish -added a guitar badge for one son as he plays guitar, and a drum badge for the other as he plays the drums (well, sort of..........lol) I found some little bits of flat slate in the garden and painted 'Neil Rocks' and 'Bryn Rocks' on each one.
Just one of those silly little pressies that costs next to nothing to do.
I've put one in a silver foil covered box and the other in a box I had something in and covered it with music paper.
I'll try and find the proper site I found it
Edit: - just found it ----www.daniellesplace.com/ - go on to 'craft index' then on to Fathers Day Crafts.........scroll right down the page and its towards the bottom
Sorry -not very good at doing linksI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

The packet is Twinnings cranberry teabags, thought they were Xmasy so took them out of my box to keep them for Xmas:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I love all the crafts that you make and you've inspired me to make a lot more handmade gifts for Christmas.
I'm planning on making snowman soup and was just wondering how early people make these up.
Thanks x0 -

Hi,
I ve just got a Laminating machine (freecycle) and was going to let my Nieces and Nephew make coasters and place mats for there parents for christmas, using photos of themselves on some card and maybe letting them do some drawing round the card, then i was going to put that onto old coasters and placemats---however i have just realised these would be too thick to go through the laminating machine--anyone got any idea,s?,
If i just laminate the card i think that would look a bit thin plus it would,nt protect surfaces as much, any advice would be appreciated,0 -
Could you laminate the photos and then stick them to the coaster after laminating?
Another idea with a laminator is to let children, or grown ups! cut out snow flakes, folded circles then snip through all layers. You then laminate the snowflake and then cut round the laminate shapes. You could add glitter before you laminate. Or this

Would it be possible to laminate a cross stitch bookmark?[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.
