Another idea with a laminator is to let children, or grown ups! cut out snow flakes, folded circles then snip through all layers. You then laminate the snowflake and then cut round the laminate shapes. You could add glitter before you laminate. Or this

Would they stay stuck ok?? as i could do my orginal idea of putting it on card with them drawing something of there own--and then sticking it on the coasters etc,--thanks for other idea, you are so clever on here--i,ve no imagination at all,

Sethsgran - those bookmarks look lovely! Ohh who can I make them for?? Might have to try a couple of those. I have "borrowed" a laminator from FIL, well it's on a long term loan lol.

Lad we care for just gave me 5 tiny post it notes........can only think of doing the little key ring ones unless anyones got any other ideas

Hi I know I'm late in the year compared to all of you uber organised bunch, but better late than never I guess :j

I joined the 2008 thread at about the same time last year and ended up with a ridiculous amount of favourites which my OH managed to loose in a computer tidy up :eek::eek: So made nothing bar some beautiful little chalk board hearts for name places at the Christmas table, also made popcorn strings, dried some oranges and scrounged a load of pine cones. This year I intend on being more organised. I have spent the past 2 days reading all of the million posts and resaving a crazy amount of favourites. I have severe envy of all of your beautiful crafts and hoping that mine can be half as good.

Right now I'm going to go check out the 28 pages of general crafts for 2009 and then organise all of my scribblings and ideas into something coherant... and maybe at some point before christmas actually get started. How many days did someone say was left till christmas :eek:

Depends on the thickness of the aida and the stitching, but, yes, I've seen it done. Rather than risk your work to start with, try running a scrap of aida with some stitches on it through your machine. Preferably in the spare corner of a pouch you're using for something else. This is MSE, after all .

Hello all,

Well i've been having a bit of a Christmas crafting day. Have had a practice with my flannel reindeer. Could swear I had a big pack of googly eyes but I found one lonely one in my toolbox. So I have a cyclops (?sp) with no nose

Was browsing through the 2008 thread and I saw flannel handbags. A template was posted my somebody (sorry I forget who), but can anyone give me more detailed instructions?

Just need to make a start on some Christmas cards - can't seem to get motivated this year on those. Not sure what to do, used a lot of peel offs last year so want something a bit different - any ideas?
