Just come across another poem for the gift wrapped toilet roll 'gift gag'
REUSABLE CHRISTMAS CARD
"Money's tight and times are hard.... So here's a reuseable Christmas card!" "MERRY CHRISTMAS!A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
Not sure if anyones come across this one before but a great alternative to the sock monkey for this year....
The sock owl
Click on the piccies to make them bigger....looks nice and simple and I thought you could put in some rice to use as paperweights....bigger socks with a rice insert could be door stops, or make a few in different sizes with rice weights in the bottom and make your own "owl bowling" set...could be handy for younger kids?"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
pooky - thanks for that link.........it's brilliant !:T
My friend has a lot of owls where she lives and has a bit of a 'thing' about them. I was going to do something owl like for her and this fits the bill.............:TI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Little idea OH came up with and I just remembered - I put it on the Thrifty Gift thread but thought I'd add if here as well.
If you've got any really small flowerpots (we had some little red ones with a seed pack)
cover the hole at the bottom with cardboard
fill it with birdseed
Pop some perspex on the top (stop the seed falling out)and with a glue dot stick a Robin on it
'Robin's Christmas Breakfast'
Think I'll add one of these to grandsons C hristmas Eve box this yearI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

There lovely.
But no-one in our family likes hot chocolate, i might have to tweak them and use milkshake powder instead.
Ive had a few deliveries this morning - a few gift vouchers from coke zone which i only ordered on monday and some bits for crafting.
Normlly i'd be itching to get stuck in but i just cant find the motivation taday, which is bizarre as im child free cos there out shopping with DF for the day.
