I now have a huge list of things I want to make for gifts  I have flicked between links and found the one for the sweetie bouquets etc- does anyone know where I can get my hands on the boxes that florists use for the hand tied bouquets? or would I have to go to a florist?

Just got myself absorbed in this site..........lovely idea I found thats cheap is an empty elastoplast packet with a different label on..........pieces of coloured paper cut out in the shape of sticky plasters with words of love written on them.........ideal pressies for kids to do for a grandma maybe ? I'm wondering whether I could write on actual sticky plasters and make it a practical as well as caring gift...............worth trying out.
You have to scroll down the page after clicking onto more'christmas gifts' and it comes under 'words of wisdom'.

Fab thread! Although I'd usually stay away from Christmas stuff until November, I fancy making gifts this year. Not really to save money, more to have fab gifts. Will be reading through all these ideas for a while, I think!

Hope this helps with the glass blocks, this is the company that I buy my vinyl from http://www.theletterfactory.net/ scroll down for the glass blocks.....

1245414.jpg?432x190Please note this image is off her site this is not my work however the vinyl is so easy to work with, just remember that you can't move it once it's fastened down. fabulous lady to deal with on this site she is so helpful. I sent an image of a christmas tree that I liked and she posted straight back to show me similar options she could do. Also when she has a sale there are some good bargains to be had.

Think I need a vinyl cutter but have no idea what sort to even look at buying.

    Hi!

I'm just looking through this thread and came across this post. I thought these were lovely and so looked at her site, where she has posted the following:

The time has come for me to say goodbye to the vinyl business. I am expecting baby #5 at the beginning of October and will be a little occupied with children and homeschooling. So, my last day of accepting orders will be July 31st. July is a great month to do Christmas activities! If you like to plan ahead then this is the time to do it! Good Luck and Happy Crafting!

So I thought I'd let people know, just in case anyone was wanting anything from here, as they'd have to order soon :)

There are other sites that sell the nativity designs let me know anyone having problems finding one and I will do a search for you. Since posting my origional post my daughter has now got a vinyl cutter so she will take care of my orders:) Only problem is that she too is living in America so I can't go play with her Cricut BUT my daughter in law just bought one and they live about 10 miles away :) This is not advertising but my daughter is hoping to take orders from people.

  • hi - thought i would join you all - I enjoy silk painting but can't think what to use the pictures for other than cards - the silk is expensive so i keep my works quite small - any ideas for use? it is a lovely therapeutic craft.
