Crafting for Christmas 2009, let's begin again.......

I was just hoping to make a ball as like I said, I've never done it before so didn't want anything too complicated. I was using red wool and a 5mm needle (which is what the lady at the shop recommended). I think I'll give it a go with really chunky wool, I thought I was doing a round perfectly before, followed the instructions, and it ended up in a big knot, but because the yarn was so thin I couldn't figure out where I went wrong. But then again I'm one of those people who learns better from being physically shown how to do it, so will have to find a video, or get my nanna to teach me
To keep this all on topic a bit more, I was hoping to make some simple christmas decorations like stars, might concentrate on trying flat things before going 3D

I'm not going to be going anywhere near a shop to buy presents this year
