Yeeehah!! All's fine now (I think).
Couple of hours recharging and battery shows 100%.
Made the mistake of asking Bubba Junior to play some games on it to see how quickly it drains. Him and Mrs Shaboo end up fighting over getting top score in Jawbreaker (very addictive apparently) and it's only down to 85 - 90%(ish) a couple of hours later.
Quick question though - I'm hoping to get a bigger card for it when funds permit so went for a nosy in Asda to check out the 1GB SD card for circa £39.97 but unfortunately none left. Checked around the web and have just realised that (I think) the card that came with the Micromaxx is actually a 256mb Mini MMC Card with extender like this one:
Am I right?
If so does anyone know any pros/cons with MMC vs Mini MMC vs SD?
Cheers folks,

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem (seen one post, in this thread, but seemed to cure itself). Suddenly I have been unable to enter addresses by postcode (using Navigon Navigator 5).
Had to reinstall POI Observer after flat battery reset and I've finally worked out that this is where the problem lies. What I can't understand is why it worked before and won't now. I'm positive I'm doing the installation exactly as before.
I've resorted to a hard reset and not bothering with POI Observer and the postcode search is working again. :j0 -

They all do the same so i would just go for the cheapest and thats normally sd.0 -
I would beg to differ about all SD/MMC etc all being the same, If you intend to run programs from the card then you need a fast card.
I bought the 1G Card for £45.00 (now £40.00) from ALDI, copied the Medion Navigator Program from the original card that came with it, and have also loaded other programs/games and all work very good. So if you can get hold of one of the 1G cards from ALDI they do work fine.

Very tempted by this.
Need to do some recalculating with this months budget and perhaps a quick foot massage for Mrs Shaboo to earn some Brownie points and I might just swing it.

Can anyone tell me if they have got a bluetooth SD card running yet?
If so, where do you get them and how much are we talking?
Cheers :cool:0 -
icarusi wrote:Maplins stock a 3.5>2.5mm adaptor for £1.15 but the output of the Micromaxx is very high even on it's lowest setting and it's a very coarse level control so I'm building an attenuator (basically a 2.5 plug a 3.5 socket and a couple of mini trimpots. Connect the 2.5 plug across the trimpots and the 3.5 socket to the wiper and the same 'screen' pot tag as the 2.5 plug).
I'm also using the TCPMP media player and PocketDivX (rather than 'Mpegable') encoder combination. I find that the picture quality setting at '4' gives just over 1Mb per minute and is quite watchable for all but where fast panning/zooming of the whole screen occurs.
I've also installed the Magic Button task/toobar switcher so I can switch quickly between running programs and choose more precisely when they close and when they're 'kept alive'0 -
