Is there a way to send emails/view the internet whilst the PDA is connected to the computer via the USB connection?

Depends on your set-up. My main computer connects to the net through a Smoothwall firewall. In Settings, Connections (have a read of the help when in connections tap the ?) I have the firewall as a proxy server and connect through that, so yes it can be done but its slow and a normal webpage is very hard to navigate on a small screen.

If you get to browse the web on your pocket pc try this page from Google

    http://www.google.com/gwt/n

Put in the address you want to go to and it will be reformatted to fit the screen, any links you then go to will also be reformatted.

anyway another way of getting internet on the pda which i know can be useless in a lot of occasions... is through the usb cable..
I wonder if it's possible to use a gender changer on the USB cable, connect a bluetooth dongle and then communicate to a bluetooth mobile phone?

i can give that a try icarusi, i have both, will try it later on today.... although main problem is that for the pc you get drivers for the device, so on the pda you would need drivers....

If you go to Settings -> System -> System Utility you'll find a setting
which controls the backlight when the GPS receiver is active. Try adjusting this.
