Right, a day at home by myself, so need to be good and not slob. I feel better for a sort of ok nights sleep. DS1 was in at 2, but i sent him back to bed and he did go by himself, and DS2 woke early. Unfortunately it sounded like he was playing quietly in the playroom, when actually he snook down stairs and helped himself in the fridge to 3 chocolate mousses. I dread that nappy after that lot, and also the paddies that will happen later as daddy said the punishment was no puddings for the rest of the day, and i will be the one to deal with that now he has gone to work.

    AIMS today:
    • [STRIKE]deal with chicken carcass in SC, make into soup[/STRIKE].
    • make a quiche for tea - need to make pastry, [STRIKE]get butter out now then so i can do it.[/STRIKE]
    • sort out under the sink cupboard
    • pull everything out from under my bed to dust and hoover it. That will be a dust fest, but needs doing. I'm sneezing just thinking about it.
    • do some ironing and try to get some of mine and DHs clothes packed.
    • sort out posher than normal clothes for the wiggles tomorrow.
    • [STRIKE]epilate my legs[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]end of day tidy up in playroom and kids room.[/STRIKE]
    • empty a bit more of the pantry.
    • [STRIKE]wrap any ebay parcels that sell today - auctions ending between 8 and 10.[/STRIKE]
DHs jobs today are to pick up a door from B and Q, [STRIKE]and a towel radiator[/STRIKE] from his brothers mates mums house. It gets so complicated. Pleased i remembered to go via quidco to do reserve and collect as that is another £1.49 that i get from there.

I am going to have to get on with sorting my weight when we get back. The thought of it being there when the youngest is 11 is very depressing. I'd be 40 and probably even fatter than now if i keep up how i am going. Just no motivation at all at the minute as i know we are eating out tomorrow and we will eat a takeaway on hols, and probably go mad with the wine. I am not liking myself at the minute but i would be upset to miss out on enjoying myself there.

Thought i would do another update of the master list as my progress on todays list wasn't as good as expected. I have managed to keep upstairs tidy but that is about it. DH couldn't get the door from B and Q as the one they gave him from reserve and collect was marked, and as he went to swap it, he realised he would be better off getting a different one but did not have the measurements with him. So that will now have to wait for another day.

    DIY:
    • every room needs access to the radiators for thermostatic valves to be fitted
    • purchase a new bathroom door
    • [STRIKE]purchase radiator from BILs friend - Fri night[/STRIKE]
    • purchase a loft ladder and hatch to meet building regulations for boiler going in the loft
    • paint kids bedroom radiator, put radiator back on.
    • DH added to the list - put reflective foil between 5 radiators. 3/5 ie all upstairs done
    • [STRIKE]guy rang again - apparently there is a border tile to match our floor tile, so we have asked him to check that one out but then hopefully we can get them ordered. Never ending or what?[/STRIKE]

    Cleaning:
    • Playroom - keep tidy, clean window and sill
    • kids room - move furniture for access to radiator
    • our room - tidy, declutter, hoover and dust, tip bed up for access to radiator
    • bathroom - quick wipe round and take last few bits of toileties out when we leave
    • hall/landing/stairs - make sure they are all clear and hoovered before we go. [STRIKE]Take airer down.[/STRIKE]
    • living room/dining room - clear away all toys, wash windows and clean floor, get rid of ironing pile, hide ebay mountain in garage
    • kitchen - empty pantry for access to gas meter while they are working, clean fridge and make sure we leave unopened milk and tea/coffee visible. clear both benches off and make sure it is all clean, clean microwave, empty off and clean 2 shelves
    Social:
[STRIKE]take kids to see the wiggles at Sheffield City Hall Wed 23rd :j tomorrow :j[/STRIKE]

    Earn money:
    • have ebay auctions ending [STRIKE]Tue -[/STRIKE] make sure all purchased items are packaged so at the worst we can take with us to post while away
    • Mystery shopping - Try to get some for while we are away.
    • MS - solve query on one job before we leave
    Holiday prep:
    • check what stuff i need to buy
    • check what needs washing and ironing and do it
    • finish packing
    • remember to take something for fathers day and SILs present for her birthday
    • take cats to cattery for their hols - sort food, vaccination certificates, and spend some time grooming fat cat before he goes.

    Hi there wilf,

You are doing great with the ebaying. I haven't done any this month yet.

I'm feeling tired too and running out of steam. I'm looking at my list to see which bits can be left until tomorrow :).

Wiggles was absolutely fab. We are now supposed to be slobbing but keep finding little bits to do like wrap extra sales on ebay/amazon, and DH doing his tax return which is fab as they owe us £1400.

Early night much needed tonight, and then my sister is here tomorrow for a final housework onslaught. It's a bit like a life laundry and kim and aggie. :rotfl::AShes great.

I even managed a bit of ironing today but abandoned when i noticed DS1 was chucking my hoover pipe out his bedroom window. Little monkey. Hope i will be bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow morning. :D

Up and almost time to get at them. I need to see some movement on that list today. Its hot here already, and the kids are in a slob about mood after the energy of yesterday so i am sure i can get some stuff done while they play.

DS1 tells me i need to tackle the ironing today.

    Hi there,

I am glad Wiggles was great, and that you really got into the swing of it :rotfl:.

I've been cycling back and forwards to the school with DS today, which we both really enjoy, but it's the equivalent of 16 miles a day and adds about an hour on to my day, more so if I then cycle on to the accounts job. I am brainstorming again to see if I can work smarter and not harder, to incorporate more cycling and leisure time.

In reality, I have it a lot easier than many. DH does all the:-

    - Gardening
    - Household maintenance - decorating etc.
    - Keeping the garage tidy
    - Keeping the office tidy
    - Cooks on a Saturday night
    - Cleans and maintains the car

He's very good at sticking to a budget, and he works hard at a full time Account's job.

DS keeps his room tidy and puts things away around the house when asked, but will have a lot of time to spare with the Scottish holidays coming up and he wants to earn extra money. My plan is to train him up on household chores to make life easier for me and pay him a £1.00 a day in addition to his regular pocket money.

He's really keen and wants me to work out a training plan/pay plan and schedule for him, so i'll make that a priority on my to do list.

It's times like this I wish I had more kids :rotfl:.

Anyway back to today, which is running away from me, I can't believe it's nearly 10.00 am.

    Plan for the day
[STRIKE]Family up and out with lunches[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Cycle backwards and forwards to school[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Lollypop[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]TD[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]and BR[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]10.00 - 11.30 BT call to tweak business website[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] 11.30 - 13.00 Invoice for client - £200.00 + VAT
Briefing notes - minuting meeting and step forward plan - needs to be sent out tonight [/STRIKE]

    [STRIKE]Wash hair[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Make HM tomato soup and baked potato[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]13.00 - 14.15 - Mystery Shop 1 [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Cycle backwards and forwards to school[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Lollypop[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]16.00 - Mystery Shop 2[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]16.30 - Send off information to Assoc[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]17.00 - Swish and swipe house/wash out and on[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]17.30 - 'The Shred' - Day 24 - Level 3[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]18.00 Tea and chill[/STRIKE]

    Eating
    [STRIKE]B - Meusli with fruit and nuts/skimmed milk - 350 calories[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]L - Mackerel and cottage cheese with big salad - 600 calories[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]T - HM tomato soup and small baked potato - 350 calories[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]S - Kit Kat - 105[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Total 1405 calories[/STRIKE]

    Outstanding To Do List -
    - Fill in licence application
    - Call sisters
    - Look out stuff for HBOS
    - Find a place for everything in the kitchen
    - Cupboard 1
    - Cupboard 2
    - Cupboard 3
    - Cupboard 4
    - Cupboard 5
    - Set of drawers 1/2/3/4
    - Fridge
    - Storecupboard
    - Under The Sink
    - Laundry cupboard
    - Oven
    - Buy two bags with insurance money
    - Training schedule/pay plan and schedule for DS
    - Ironing
    - Get shoes re-healed
    - Take in dress to get altered
    - Spend three hours on website content and development
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
