I'm glad you had a great evening cha97michelle. I did a lot of travelling when I was younger, but I never managed to get away for a year, that would have been amazing.

The plan for the day is the same as yesterday. The weather is brilliant again, so the outcome may be the same, but I'm not too bothered, I'll be disciplined again come Monday :).

Plan for today - Five must do's:-

Find a place for everything in the kitchen - Joining DC in a declutter challenge.

Bike ride and picnic with DS

    [STRIKE]The Shred[/STRIKE]

Finish writing up MS report for GR

    Organise for Monday

    Outstanding To Do List -

    - Fill in licence application (5)
    - Call sisters (4)
    - Call Dad (3)
    - Look out stuff for HBOS (2)
    - Finish writing up MS for GR (1)

We'll likely have fish tonight cooked on the bar-b-que. We have a fire pit out the back, which means that we can sit around the fire, until late in the evening and keep cosy, it's lovely.

Flagging a bit now today. Kids were up early, we were late to bed, and it was my turn to get up early so DH could get a lie in, not that you can call 8am a lie in, but it is better than 6:45. Lots more caffeine required here. We've been out to do my mystery shop jobs and also get the kids some new sandals for the hols.

The guy who is coming to do the bathroom is round in a bit, so the wickid can't rest for too long. Best crack on rather a lot more today i think.

    Right:
    DIY:
every room needs access to the radiators for thermostatic valves to be fitted
    purchase a new bathroom door
purchase radiator from BILs friend - Fri night
purchase a loft ladder and hatch to meet building regulations for boiler going in the loft
[STRIKE]paint radiator for the playroom [/STRIKE]and put back on the wall
DH added to the list - put reflective foil between 5 radiators. 3/5 ie all upstairs done
double check name of tiles we wanted - let the guy know

    Cleaning:
    • Playroom - keep tidy, clean window and sill
    • kids room - major tidy/declutter, hoover and dust, move furniture for access to radiator
    • our room - tidy, declutter, hoover and dust
    • bathroom - quick wipe round and take last few bits of toileties out when we leave
    • hall/landing/stairs - make sure they are all clear and hoovered before we go. Take airer down.
    • living room/dining room - clear away all toys, wash windows and clean floor, get rid of ironing pile, hide ebay mountain in garage
    • kitchen - empty pantry for access to gas meter while they are working, clean fridge and make sure we leave unopened milk and tea/coffee visible. clear both benches off and make sure it is all clean, clean microwave, empty off and clean 2 shelves
    Social:
take kids to see the wiggles at Sheffield City Hall Wed 23rd

    Earn money:
    • have ebay auctions ending on Sun and Tue - make sure all purchased items are packaged so at the worst we can take with us to post while away
    • unlist amazon stuff for while we are away
    • take a holiday on readitswapit
    • Mystery shopping - [STRIKE]print out paperwork for 2 jobs on Sunday, do jobs, write reports.[/STRIKE] Try to get some for while we are away.
    Holiday prep:
    • sort out boxes of baby stuff to go to BIL and girlf, and DHs best friend.
    • check what stuff i need to buy
    • check what needs washing and ironing and do it
    • finish packing
    • remember to take something for fathers day and SILs present for her birthday - [STRIKE]wrap presents.[/STRIKE]
    • take cats to cattery for their hols - sort food, vaccination certificates, and spend some time grooming fat cat before he goes.
    • [STRIKE]cut kids hair[/STRIKE]
The list was shrinking until DH added more to it :rotfl:

I need to start the week flying too or i will really struggle. My sister will be here by about 9:30 so i am going to load up on coffee before she gets here to try and match her enthusiasm. I am going to head upstairs with her and see what we can get done in the kids room and playroom, and perhaps mine if we have enough time. Why do i do it to myself?

I also need to post off a letter to the MS company with a receipt, send 2 ebay parcels, meal plan for the week, start emptying the pantry, cook a chicken and God only knows what else the kids throw at me.

I can't wait to just walk away from it all on Saturday and hopefully come back to it being mostly done. In reality it won't be fully done, and my stuff will all need moving around a bit to get back to normal and we will still need more doing to the bathroom. Crazy.

Right, 1st job, another coffee, feed the kids, think about getting dressed so we can just start when my sister arrives. If we only get a few hours together i want to make good use of it. Hopefully then the weather stays nice and the kids play out most of the week.

And so i don't forget - water the plants at some point today on the windowsill. Must get some more planted outside before we leave.

ETA - and must read the meters. Will do that now.

I feel done in for the day, so a list check time. I will need to pick up some toys later, make roast dinner, and do some washing up, but i am feeling a bit overtired. Another cuppa. Post office is done at least so i don't need to worry about that for another couple of days at least.

    Hi there,

I feel the same. I have the house to clean, tea to make, 'The Shred' and a Zumba class ahead of me and I just want to vegetate. I'm going to dig deep though and give it a go . I'm liking my new figure :).

I'l see you in the morning. Keep up the great work, not long before your holiday...

I have really been suffering with the hayfever too this afternoon. It is really killing me. The hard bit really here is that i have to spend all day following the kids round and getting them to help me tidy up all the mess they keep making as i can't afford for them to make it as messy as they normally do. All of the playroom and their room is reasonably tidy, and there are only a few bits out down here. I just need to psyche myself up to go and get the washing in but i know it will set me off again and my hayfever only just calmed down a bit.

Sounds like you are having some great results on the exercise and body shape there scrooge. I really wanted to lose a bit before we went away but it requires a bit of time to focus on yourself doesn't it which i don't seem to have at the moment. Once this bathroom is in though i am going to really go for it. I might even be persuaded to get the Shred, although i should probably also use my dancing DVD, and the JM game for the wii. I've plenty of resources really but a lack of time through the day and energy in the evening. I hope it will get easier when DS1 starts nursery in September.
