Yes it's me....! Sorry not been able to contribute much to the thread, its really busy at work and not had a chance to actually sit down and have a proper read of all the posts. I have had a quick glance and I can see that you are both crossing things off your lists which is fantastic. Wish I could say the same... never mind, I am however managing to keep on track with The Shred. Can't believe that I have made it to Day 8. Still finding it hard but I'm sure (or maybe I should say hoping and praying!) that at some stage it will become easier.

Hope everyone has a great day. At this rate I doubt I'll be able to have a proper read/catch up until the weekend but here's hoping.

    Ciao for now.

    Morning all,

Micron, when you achieve your weight loss and fitness goals this month, by sticking to the Shred and your eating plan, you will have achieved a tremendous amount. I wouldn't worry about anything else, there is always next month.

Chaz97Michelle, 'you're cooking with gas' as they say up here! I hope you manage to get out and about today as planned. The weather is atrocious up here, I keep thinking of DS out in the wilds, but he's a hardy little soul, so I am sure he will be OK.

    How are you doing Wilf?

Today will go something like this:-

    [STRIKE]-Shred[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]-Dressed to shoes - up and out with lunch[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-Lollypop[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-Accounts job - get hours signed off[/STRIKE]
-Head straight out to do bank mystery shop job - take passport with me and notes - rescheduled for tomorrow
    [STRIKE]-Lollypop[/STRIKE]
-Five make a difference things for today - look at numbers- Done 3
    [STRIKE]-Organise for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]-Sauna and jacuzzi this evening with my book.[/STRIKE]

    Left from yesterday:-

    - Clean and take last of decorating equipment back to Anne with wine and card. We still have plenty of wine in the house even if we are not drinking it, and it is all quality stuff, from the Sunday Times wine club ;). Think of the saving :). (4)
    - Download a few things to Blackberry.
[STRIKE]- Check that the budget for the month is running to plan - go through accounts (1)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Hours need to be signed off - Shirley invoice (2)[/STRIKE]
    - Do invoice for another client and ring them to give them update. (5)
    - Update mystery shopping log spreadsheet. (3)
    - Deep clean upstairs bathrooms.
    - Change beds.

    Added today:-

    - Chase CEX over vouchers that haven't arrived
    - Phone Volkswagen - wheels are going again - need to get them re-done on warranty
[STRIKE]- Mystery shop - signed up for another two tomorrow and notes printed for today.[/STRIKE]

    Have a great day everyone.

    Hi
We got out and about in terms of spending all morning at the Drs, chemists, post office and then tesco. We then managed about an hour at home before going to visit my parents and sister, but didn't get home till after 8pm. Great to have a change of scene, but not good for getting that much done.

Day at home tomorrow. I am tired now so will look at the list in the morning.

Micron well done on completing the shred. That alone is very demanding, so if you also managed to extra stuff at work, you must be feeling tired. Keep it up, hopefully you will notice some excellent results soon and motivate me to be better at the exercise front along with scrooge.

Another quick hi from me (sorry!). Just to let you know completed Day 9 of The Shred and yes I am still finding it difficult but persevering.

How are you getting on scrooge? One more and we move on to level 2

Hope you are both keeping well and I will catch up properly with everybody over the weekend.

    Have an absolutely fantastic Friday!

    Hi there,

I hope you both get some re-charge your batteries time before too long.

I'm sticking with the 'Shred' micron, and not finding it any easier either, but persevering too. Day 10 today. I must admit I thought level 1 would be a breeze by now, but we live and learn.

Going AF for 10 days has been so much easier, for me, in comparison. I really don't want to drink again. I have decided to say 'I don't drink', and leave it behind me.

'When you find something that works why keep looking for a solution ;)' GC. I'll put it in my goals each month though, just so I don't get complacent.

    Plan for today:-

[STRIKE]- Shred - Print off information for mystery shop - find passport[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Dressed to shoes - up and out with lunch (cheese and carrot salad)[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]- Lollypop[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Mystery Shop - If I can get that done early - a little window shopping ;).[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Take DH to Dr - prepare meeting while waiting.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Organise meeting with lawyers over CD case (work) for middle of next week[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]- Lollypop[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Five make a difference things for today - look at numbers.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] - Organise for tomorrow - veg burgers amd home made chips for tea - swish and swipe house
    - Finish by 6.00 pm and chill this evening.
    [/STRIKE]

    Left from yesterday:-

[STRIKE]- Clean and take last of decorating equipment back to Anne with wine and card. We still have plenty of wine in the house even if we are not drinking it, and it is all quality stuff, from the Sunday Times wine club ;). Think of the saving :). (1)[/STRIKE]
    - Download a few things to Blackberry.
[STRIKE]- Do invoice for another client and ring them to give them update. (2)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Update mystery shopping log spreadsheet. (3)[/STRIKE]
    - Deep clean upstairs bathrooms.
    - Change beds.
[STRIKE]- Chase CEX over vouchers that haven't arrived (4)[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]
    - Phone Volkswagen - wheels are going again - need to get them re-done on warranty (5)
    [/STRIKE]

I've had a bit of a slacker day today. Still got a few bits done but more reactive than proactive. I even ended up having a bit of a kip on the settee with the kids this afternoon but i must have needed it.

    I managed to:
    • empty upstairs airers and sort a load to wash tomorrow
    • complete a mystery shop report
    • make a batch of carrot and pulses soup - the kids were tired and grumpy though and refused to eat it so there is an awful lot left. Never mind. Nutritious and very filling.
    • Managed to get antibiotics into DS2 4 x despite me only being able to give it him on an empty stomach and the fact it tastes foul.
    • changed the bottom sheet on DS1s bed after the cat got up there while he was wet this morning and left mud all over the sheet.
    • paid council tax and water bills
    • made a batch of turkey curry this evening
    • spent time sticking in the cbeebies magazine with the kids
    • sorted the freezer so i can get some more food bargains tomorrow when i go to the bargain food shop up the road. This weeks offer was 1 kilo of frozen salmon for 99p. I'll have some of that.
    • thoroughly scrubbed the dining table as DS1 was a pain and smeared weetabix and pie all over it at different meals today.
    • put out the recycling ready for us to put the bin out for tomorrows collections
    • rang my sister to arrange tomorrows shopping trip.
I keep going a few steps forward even if i then go a few back. I'm doing more than i was, so that must be good.

Tomorrow i am going to the bargain food place in the morning, i have an ebay parcel to send, and i want to try and get a few more mystery shops if i can so i need to keep checking that tomorrow. I also have 10 sales finishing tomorrow, and at least one thing has sold so i need to get the stuff put in bags ready for postage on Saturday if they are paid for.

Saturday i need to go into town with DH as he needs a new phone handset. We will try and pop to the market and get some fruit and veg, and i've also been told that there is a stall that buys 2nd hand baby goods so i might try and sell my double buggy. We don't use it anymore so it might as well go.

Sunday i have a mystery shop to do. We could also do with stocking up on nappies and some cotton wool while near a boots. We also need to try and paint the radiator for the room we decorated before christmas so that it is back in place for when the guys come to change the boiler. They are putting thermostatic valves on every radiator so it will need to be in place. We also have some of the shiny stuff you need to put behind them for energy saving. That needs to be put on the wall first.

Crazy. So many little jobs it is hard to keep them all in my head. Hopefully writing them here i might have half a chance. :D:rotfl:

    Hi,

Day 10 completed ...wow. Does that really mean we have to start Day 11 on Level 2? Should be interesting as to whether I can keep up but will give it my best shot.

I can't wait for the weekend so I can catch up on reading the posts properly and responding in kind.

Scrooge, well done on all your AF days :T. The fact that you are now considering giving it up permanently is amazing - I know you can do it if you really want to. I haven't drunk alcohol for over 25 years now and don't miss it one bit.

char97michelle, wow you sure have been busy getting things done. Keep up the great work. 1 kilo of salmon for 99p!! Wow, what a bargain. The cheapest I get two pieces of salmon for is £5!

Catch up with all of you soon.

    Hi micron,

Thanks for your post. It's day 11 and I am about to go downstairs and tackle workout 2.

25 years of not drinking is very impressive. DH has problems with his liver and it's been a massive wake-up call. Although, I had cut right down to well within the recommeded levels, I am much more comfortable with the idea of not drinking alcohol again. DH is going AF for a few months, but can't give up the idea of a glass of quality red wine with a roast dinner, or a couple of beers while we sit out in the back garden having a bar-b-que, but I don't think it would stop at that. I have ordered the Alen Carr book to strengthen my resolve.

EDIT:- WOW THAT WAS SO TOUGH !!! DEFINATELY MIND OVER MATTER -I'VE NEVER WORKED OUT SO HARD IN MY LIFE. ALL THE BEST MICRON. EXHILERATING TO HAVE FINISHED IT THOUGH.

Hi Cha97michelle Any chance of posting your carrot and pulses soup recipe, I love a good soup. You eat extremely well, for very little, I echo micron, 99p :T

Well lots of exciting things happening today.

    1. DS comes back from camp, I have really missed him.
    2. My new bike has arrived and it is gorgeous, I just love it!
    3. We are going to the circus tonight. We were given free tickets as part of a promotion. Afterwards we are going to Pizza Express with vouchers.

Just a short list to finish the week - after Lollypop and Accounts Job.

Five things that make a difference:-

    - 2 hour deep clean of house, so none needed over the weekend - includes outstanding bed change and bathroom clean
[STRIKE] - Phone and invoice a client
    - Type up stage 1 of yesterday's mystery shop[/STRIKE]
    - Drop more decorating stuff off
    - Download stuff too blackberry

That should clean up the week's to do list.

    Have a great day.
