    Hi Scrooge,

I am so proud of you for not eating that delicious doughnut. I am sure your DS will enjoy it.

I'm actually looking forward to doing The Shred tomorrow although I may not be saying that this time tomorrow when I can hardly move from the aches and pains.

    Ciao for now.

    Morning micron,

Just finished day 2, not any easier for me, but only 28 days to go to our amazing beach bodies. 2/30 - 6.6%

    Keep up the good work!

    I'll check in later.

    Good afternoon scrooge,

OMG  I have just finished doing day 2 and it was even harder than yesterday. And here I was thinking it would get easier. I can't even imagine what level 2 will be like when we get there on day 11. I thought I was going to pass out at one stage and was so tempted to stop and switch the DVD player off... but I didn't. I worked through the pain... and it sure was painful. I want to thank you for doing this challenge with me. :A I would have already given up if I didn't have to report in. Accountability sure is a good thing.

Hope you have had a great day and managed to enjoy the sunshine.

I'm off to recover with a nice apple! This time last month it would have been a packet of crisps... but we are in a different frame of mind now. I know we can do it and yes the thought of an amazing beach body is motivation enough.

    You are an absolute star!!

I always give up around day four, but that just means starting all over again, the next time. I'm pretty sure that without your support, the same thing would have happened. This time we're going to crack it.

She does say that by days five, six and seven we should see a marked improvement in our endurance levels. I wonder how many people actually make it that far??

I'm just in from work, i've put on the chicken soup and I am going to try and do my five make a different things before 6.00 pm. Then three more mystery shops and i'll finish the day chilling in the jacuzzi and sauna at the health club I go to. It's a luxury spa and gym in a five star hotel ;). I managed to get cheap membership through a corporate promotion. It's my me time, and I love it :). How's your day been?

    [STRIKE]- Three mystery shops[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE] Organise for Thursday
    - DS project homework
    - Finalise logo colour details with Web Designer and Logo lady
    - Organise all DS school paperwork, for handing in tomorrow
    [/STRIKE]
On completion tomorrow we are 10% through the programme!

    Take care.

Hmmm a sauna and jacuzzi sounds bliss right now. Hope you enjoyed your me time. You sure do deserve it. I am still in admiration for how much stuff you get done. Did you get your three mystery shops done?

Good point about how many people make it beyond day 5 - but we sure will!!!

It sure is encouraging to know that we would have completed 10% of the programme tomorrow.

My day was relaxing (apart from doing The Shred). Had a leisurely breakfast, went to the park to read for a little bit and generally chilled out today. You can see why I don't get much done. I have got so much stuff to do on my various "Things to do Lists" that I really should start getting my act together. I am definitely going to take a leaf out of your book.

Good luck with The Shred Day 3.

    Ciao for now.

    Morning Micron,

Yep, I did my three mystery shops, I'm just uploading them now. They are more audits than mystery shops though, so three can be done in an hour.

I've just been going into local supermarkets and checking that certain stock is in the chilled section, as some stores have been putting it in non-chilled areas in error and it has been going off. I take a couple of photographs and send them electronically to the auditing company to prove job done! It worked out at £27.00, which will help towards my £15.00 a day target this month.

Your day sounds lovely though, a book in the park, in the sun, bliss............. it doesn't get much better than that.

Well it's day 3, I'm off to do 'Shred' soon. Just these next few days to get through and then it get's easier, or so she says. Winners never quit and quitters never win and all that.

Have you ever watched 'The Biggest Loser' show she does on Sky? In eight weeks she regularly transforms 20 stone, unhealthy people, into 10 stone athletes, through healthy eating and exercise. It's quite amazing to watch.

Take care. I look forward to hearing from you.

5 make a difference things for today:-

    [STRIKE]Phone RBS lady and leave a message[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Organise for Friday[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Find crime reference number for ins claim and fill it in[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Look at the prices for sailing courses[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Send back modernising pay letter to council - 6% rise :) and sign DS school report, which was great! :)[/STRIKE]

    Hello Scrooge,

It's only 20 minutes, only 20 minutes, only 20 minutes.... that's what I kept telling myself today. I struggled to put The Shred on today but... I knew I couldn't let either one of us down so I reluctantly switched it on at 6pm this evening.... and some how managed to complete it. I wanted to give up so many times. I was struggling whilst doing the warm up (how unfit am I?!) but what a relief when the 20 minutes are up. I had to close my eyes several times whilst exercising to motivate myself to carry on. I just kept thinking about the wonderful bodies we are going to have.

Yes I have watched several series of 'The Biggest Loser'. In fact I got hooked on it but have cut right back. She sure does work them hard so I suppose a 20 minute DVD session with her is nothing compared to what she puts them through. And wow do they look great at the Finale.

Well done, it getting not only your three mystery shops done yesterday but for completing your "5 make a difference things for today". You sure did deserve your sauna/jacuzzi fix. You are so organised... got any tips for me?

Day 4 approaching for both of us.... we will get there, we will get there, YES WE WILL GET THERE!

    Catch up with you later.

You are a very determined lady! personally I think you could do anything you put your mind to.

I am looking at this 'Shred' experience as doing a marathon, and for you it's like doing one with no training, that is why I am quite amazed you are hanging in there. If I can accomplish this then I think I have achieved some kind of mastery over myself, which is what I want.

I am naturally a very disorganised, easy going lady with hippy tendencies. I have fought being organised all my life as I thought it would be a very restrictive, linear, repressed way of doing things, but I just got very tired of the old me. The procrastinator, who never seemed to achieve anything, drank too much, and was living in a very chaotic environment that was causing me a lot of stress.

I decided to change, and it's been incredibly difficult and I completely understand why people don't change, but I am fitter and happier than I have ever been, so for me it has been well worth the effort.

P.S. I am also going alcohol free for this whole month too!!!

    Hi Scrooge,

Day 4 done and dusted. I thought the Shred was suppose to get easier as the days went by but oh no, I still wanted to stop after the warm up but I stuck with it as I am definitely in this for the long run. We are both going to complete our 30 challenge.

From your posts you are definitely an organised person now even if you were not in the past. It must be even more rewarding now as you can see the benefits of being organised, healthier and fitter.

Regarding the no alcohol this month, I know you can do it. I don't drink alcohol but will give you all the encouragement and support you need thoughout the month. Wow just imagine all that you would have achieved by the end of June.

    Keep smiling.

Thanks for providing an inspiring read Scrooge. You really seem to have turned your life around through a to do list and posting here. Well done.

I've been inspired to start dieting again today and did 50 minutes on my exercise bike. I would like to commit to everyday but i am at home with my 2 and 3 year old boys who sometimes co-operate and sometimes don't. So i do what i can when they do. I am so fed up of all the mess though and feeling though i don't really achieve anything. I do so much for the house to look not much better if you know what i mean. I used to manage so much better when i just had DS1. :rotfl:

Between sorting out the fighting, and changing nappies, dealing with requests for snacks and drinks, i think i should be trying to do more. Especially as we are away on holiday at the end of the month and also having the bathroom replaced along with the boiler being moved started while we are away. So much to do as they want to be in every room in the house - no idea where to start.

I am going to set myself some small challenges for today:
    • deal with pile of paper for shredding
    • make pizza dough for dinner tonight
    • watch lovefilm disc so it can be posted back
    • water plants in the garden.
    • 1 hour ironing.
    • wrap up ebay sales.
    • I'll also plan what i could do tomorrow. DH is at home so he can help or watch the kids. ;) It is hard only getting real jobs done on a weekend though.
