jenny glad your ds b'day was a success!
scrooge..sorry about the redundancy...i know what you mean regarding taking the plunge..i can imagine it would be scary..but you are managing well with your commitments so give it a go...i understand the comfort zone but in a couple of years time you will be wondering why you didnt do it sooner. with the internet there are wealths of advice out there if you hit any problems and loads of support just on forums like these
perhaps you could give yourself a time scale and see how things develop and assess after say 6 months how things are going
i admire you i really do and wish you all the very best

Well made a start on my list.
I realise why I put a lot of things off. I've just spent two hours being passed around the houses by BT, because they have made a real mess of my business line set-up and charges, and it's nearly impossible to talk to a human, let alone one that can resolve the issues. Eventually I got there, but feel like I need a stiff drink now.
wilf 20 ebay items a day sounds challenging, but lucrative. I hope you hit your target.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -

Hi All
You are all so busy! Scrooge - you can definitly (?) succeed at anything you put your mind to, the way you tackle things is mindboggling!!
I have two new nice Austrian boys, impeccable manners, shoes lined up under their beds, what I like to see! So I have them for 12 days! £360 less all the food, still I think I'm getting £100-120 per week clear.
Still to do:
VAT return
Tax rebate
DH photos
Send threatening letter
Write to factors
Double effort tomorrow to tackle these things. Triple promise.0 -
Ok here's my plan until may:
create a 4 weekly rolling menu
pay off some of my council tax bill £594 Aim to pay off £200 at least
make a budget and stick to it
clear out all the junk out of my house
put stuff on ebay that I don't want
earn £30 on dooyoo
earn £20 on slicethepie
get my allotment sorted and my greenhouse producing
go out for a night out
think that's about itDebts
Mum £5/£1500  [STRIKE]Council DUN £80[/STRIKE] :T Council LIN £187.85
NSD's Dooyoo earning £18.08 :T Slicethepie £5.02 :j Quidco £1.05 :A £15k needed for house deposit

Hello all
I've been reading through this thread on and off for the last few days and would like to jump in and join you. My life is full of lists of things I should do, but never seem to get round to, and I really need to start getting organised.
First on the list is majorly decluttering. DS2's room is so full of clothes it's like an obstacle course to get to his wardrobe. (He's still in with us). I've been saving them to do a car boot sale, but never seem to get round to it, so I'm going to take photos of the decent clothes and try to sell them online. I took photos of about 10 last night and have listed them on a site, so am going to try to do a few more tonight.
That's the only thing I'm commiting to at the momentbut there's more to come
Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0 -
Welcome nikki and Littlebit. It's great to hear from you. All the best in your challenges. Keep us posted.
DeeDee, think how great it will feel to cross things off your list, and your mind will be decluttered too. A few less things to think about. You can do it!!I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0
