Good progress Lemon Tree. Your home sounds like organised bliss now!
I'm working so hard at getting things done that I've lost track of all lists, but still on the case. Must write it all down soon, especially since I started this thread for that very purpose!0 -
Hiya - well, I'm up on this in that I've kept up the ebid listings I made originally, but thats all. Either what I've got to sell isn't wanted, or ebid isn't very good
Some of the comics are on Amazon too, and they're not selling there either, mind you.
Lemon Tree - sorry your dad is so sick, hope you can manage to spend as much time as you can with him.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I reckon ebid isn't very good - I put a listing on there for some cutlery that I sell tons and tons of on ebay, and in two months I've not sold a single thing on ebid. Just glad that I wasn't tempted by their £50 free listings for life offer - I'd have been gutted if I'd paid that. Shame, as I hate ebay, but it's guaranteed sales. It would be great if there was a viable alternative.0 -

Here are my goals for March, some of them i hope will become part of my everyday life even after March:rolleyes:
1. Drink more water, cutting down on tea and coffee
2. Start looking after myself - have a bit of "me" time
3. Be in bed by 11pm instead of falling asleep on setee and waking up in small hours (dh too)
4. Weed out those people in my life that i've allowed to take advantage of me and drain the life out of me, i used to be a confident, positive, daring, happy person with a love for life and would try new things, i want that person back not be this reclusive and solitary person who will make any excuse to get out of any social engagements/activity.
5. Stop sitting at the computer for hours on end.
6. Get off my backside and take control
Long Term
1. Pay of existing debt of £5386.32 by end of October 2009 ongoing currently owe £4568.16
2. Save at least £500 in my "secret account" ongoing (£20 so far)
3. carpet the lounge, dining room, stairs and landing - its completely bare and has been for past 4yrs ongoing
4. stick to the sealed pot challenge ongoing

Complete my Divemaster paperwork and get the qualification - erm yup one day (so far I've put it off for almost 6 years). I am ashamed, not touched this for weeks. Instructor getting antsy at me again.
Financially I still have to pay the balance of my Red Sea trip so need pay another £900 ish (thanks to flight supplements and XL going bust). Still only in my regular savings, had an expensive few weeks with going away and OH being at home.
Not really a target for the next 4 months but to make full use of my ISA allowance in the next financial year, this years attempts have been somewhat pathetic thanks to changing my job to a much lower paid one (the work/fun balance is shockingly weighted to having fun while working though!). Managed to pay in another £100 which is pathetic but as mentioned before flying to NI was an expensive weekend away.
And I suppose to enable me to make use of the ISA I should add find a second job, looking for a couple of nights a week bar work or something I can do during the day around my current job (so Monday and Wednesday daytimes). Had an interview for a job I ended up not wanting, have three places to phone around tomorrow who are seeking bar/waitressing staff.:j
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

In the process I hace realised that we have no proper storage for our stuff.... just a small corner unit over-flowing with stuff! So need to find a solution to that, preferably without spending any money.... will have to think on that one!
I know you will have sorted this by now, but this is where www.freecycle.org works in reverse ie you post a want for storage and people offer you things

scubaangel wrote: »My main one wont be finanical as I just signed up for my first 'proper' OU course towards the degree I want, so will be spending most of next year studying for it, with roughly an assignment a month from March to October, so firstly I want to sort myself out and get my assignments done on time!
Second is to save enough to pay for next years planned OU course without putting it on my credit card/using my overdraft.
And thirdly to make more of an effort to save money in general this year (already getting better at it with the £5 a month and Sealed Pot challenges).
Don't know what your income is but you can get grants towards this if your income is low. Definitely worth a look

Took two big bags to the charity shop on the way to work yesterday.
Today is the cupboard upstairs:eek: providing DS will let me - he's feeling under the weather and just wants to cuddle his Mum!
This is the cupboard where everything gets chucked, including my pile for ebayso I will dig it all out, and photograph later when DS is asleep. I know there are lots of shoes in there that I don't wear anymore, some may be ok for the charity shop, but I don't think any will be ebay-able:o If I'm not back by this evening, its because the cupbaord has eaten me!
Have a great day everyone!
Just to say that if you find anymore shoes (or haven't thrown these ones out yet) there is a big market on ebay for 'well worn' shoes, from shoe fetishists. Sometimes knackered shoes go for a lot of money....
