Popped to Coop today for bread rolls (because I can't make them like warburtons/similar so DP won't eat HM ones) fruit, eggs (how we've used 30 since Xmas eve I don't know) spent under £10 so not too bad.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

    Update Happy New Year all!!!!

Did New Year shopping on Tuesday. Iceland and Aldi had no reductions but Asda did so got cream and cheese Sell by date 31st so OK for New year's Day party.

Party went well - family only. (10 bodies and a dog! No-one had had lunch so we ate at 4.00 and then grazed for the rest of the night. As usual I over-catered so we have left-over for the weekend plus what has been in the freezer anyway. Hope to reduce the stores in January so I can defrost freezers and clean out cupboards!

Well I have my third shop since christmas coming on the 7th.. BUT there are 10 of us live here.. and I fed 12 the other day and 19 on a couple of occasions so food rations don't go that far!

It is all basic stuff.. mince, cereal, milk, cat food, wash powder, fabric conditioner.

BM still going strong on my 73 bags of flour... !! lol

Not been food shopping as such - but I have picked up a few bargains for the storecupboard and some spices, stock cubes etc. I'm trying to get to the point where I see the bottom of the freezer before restocking it. Even when that means making a tea of all the dog ends of bags of things LOL.

I have just ordered my organic boxes of fruit and veg, for delivery at the end of next week. I can`t see me buying anything else next week as the freezer is full and storecupboard is overflowing which includes about 36 kg of shiptons bread flour

In actual fact this storecupboard malarky has been a very good thing re money saving and inflation etc

Have only bought milk and fruit since Xmas - until today, when I stopped at Asda on the way to see a friend (wanted to take some fruit/biscuits with me). Discovered apples on special, so bought about six bags (they will get eaten here, believe me) and then noticed lots of yellow stickers in the bread aisle. Bought some rolls, bagels etc, all yellow-stickered, for the freezer - and about 20 loaves - just plain white sliced, but fine for toasting, and reduced to 22p each :-)
