How soon after Christmas Day will you be food shopping again?

I'm hoping to not have to go shopping for more than fresh items like milk and vegetables until at leeeeast mid-January. What with the food hamper and what I've already got in (and most of it didn't get eaten due to illness), I should easily have enough to last for quite a while. I must sit down and do a proper meal plan for next week though.

We will need some milk tomorrow which I'll get from the local shop and possibly bread and bananas by Monday but hopefully that will be all until after the holidays. We have so much food, leftovers etc and all of it will be eaten, stored or frozen. I put 2 portions of turkey in stock and 1 portion of gammon in stock in the freezer today and we're having the leftover veg as bubble and squeak tonight0

I have milk and bread in the freezer and no payday till 2nd of Jan so not till then I hope. However I am back at work in the supermarket on Monday so will check if there are any bargains. but not planning on buying anything. I froze all the leftover turkey so we didn't get chance to get fed up with it. so that can be re invented sometime next week. I have 2 freezers with plenty in and a sack of potatoes in the coal house.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

I need to buy milk as I underestimated the amount we'd need so we are out again, plus some bread as I completely forgot that.0

As we had Christmas at our daughters' I didn't have any shopping to do for that. DH's new job pays monthly so we've been eating from the pantry and freezer for a month. I'll do a monthly shop at the beginning of the week to restock the pantry, veg for the freezer, UHT milk to last us for the month. Hopefully will just need to get bread each week til end of January that way.Take the first step.
Even if you cannot see the whole staircase,
Just take the first step.
