Monday or Tuesday probably. Son and 2 sons coming Boxing day for a week so will need fresh stuff. We 2 have a very quiet Christmas in preparation!

New Year's Day is our big day - OH and grandson birthdays so we celebrate then. Hoping to get Xmas food cheap for the party!
  • Provided we don't get landed on unexpectedly we should have enough of everything to last us at least until the end of next week. So 2009, I hope!

Lack of bread, milk and fresh veges/fruit will be the reason I have to go food shopping. The cupboards and freezer are well stocked. With all the help on here I can always find the makings of a meal :T

Milk, bread, some fruit maybe will be needed on saturday, and maybe some flour for more pastry. Def. no sweets, cakes etc needed!

  • Boxing day for bread.
  • I've been away at my mum's for a week so I will have to go when I get back on saturday - I have a full store cupboard but need veg, dairy etc.

I don't plan on going again for at least two weeks, probably more, except to top up on fresh stuff.

My DS arrived on his Grandma's 60th birthday. They do have a lovely relationship. Often a shared birthday cake and they seem to have more cuddles than the others!

  • Loads of interesting and varied replies here. I confess to not being what I would call a REAL Old Styler as I'm nowhere near as organised with menu planning as some people here. But I hope not to do any food shopping for at least another fortnight - apart from milk which we have nearly run out of having forgotten to buy it!

Hope you've all had a lovely day.
  • My new (second) freezer is due to be delivered on Saturday morning, so with a bit of luck I'll be out on Sunday looking for bargains to fill it.

Just been on the web site and it says it was despatched yesterday to be delivered between 12 noon and 3pm on Saturday. :j

And I've got £32 in luncheon vouchers to spend for the end of the month. Morrisons don't care what you spend them on either, so next week will be spent freezing veg and baking stuff for the freezer.

I probably need to buy some bread and milk beginning of next week.....perhaps some more alcohol for hubby for new year as well... Otherwise we be fine till Jan 09. :j Thanks to this wonderful forum I'm now prepared, stocked up and got a meal plan to last us at least two weeks.
  • As I haven't needed to cook over the holiday, I haven't shopped since last Saturday so I will be at it again tomorrow, just a fairly normal weekly shop plus some wine as we are having the family on New Year's Day but I've got the meat and most of the stuff in already.

I do like to look and see if there are any reductions straight after Christmas, i.e. a pud or two.

    Bella.
