we will need bread by sat or sun and fruit and veg prob by next mon or tues. But as long as i stay away from the shops then i'll be fine. cause i have a bit of a prob with food shops as it don't seem how little i need i just can't help but buy food and a trolley full when i'm there. i love food shopping weather i need it or not. so for me i'm gonna stay away as long as poss. hubby off work until 2 or 3. so will try and avoid until then. but pop to local shop for the milk or send hubby.

Apart from fresh fruit and vegetables I won't be doing any food shopping for at least another week - stocked up on most things...have milk in the freezer with UHT cartons on standby, and have enough flour to make bread for a week or so.

    And there's plenty of turkey....

I'll be heading to the farmers market on sunday for a baguette, some tomatoes, a few apples and some eggs. Apart from that I'll be good for at least a week or more without anything.

I just did a normal food shop with only a few extras for christmas in it, so I'll do another fairly normal shop on Weds too (new yrs eve). We go to my parents for christmas day so I don't have all of that to buy. My dh is working different shifts from today onwards so he needs packing up & the kids eat everything in sight so I've done a menu plan to include lunches & evening meals taking everyone's activities into account.
  • We can go forweeks now at the very least as my tiny freezer is full to the top with meats, fish and cooked pulses. My stockcupboard is very very full and I could easily withstand a seige. I have about 30kg of bulk bought shiptons flour safely in a cool place. I get an organic veg box delivered from a box scheme and can order a wonderful fruit box too when needed. So nope I am going to stay away from the shops and I will save my pennies

I have a shop coming on Tuesday. Fruit/milk and a few things to replenish the larder etc. That's all really. Otherwise, we're good. I even have the party stuff for my sons birthday on new years day :)

Don't need to go shopping til next week - have loads of veggies still in the garage (nice and cold in there) and plenty of other stuff in the freezer.

Planning on making a roast veg lasagne with my leftover veggies. Tonight's tea though will be cold meat, reheated potatoes and sprouts and an onion sauce with rice pudding to follow.

DD and I went on our annual Christmas Eve bargain hunt to Asda and stocked up on bread, milk, fruit/veg all reduced, [we even got 4 lovely sparkly little christmas trees they had used as decorations around the store for free] so along with my full store cupboard/freezer Grumpy Grandad so won't need to go again until new year.
