In particular I was referring to his Killers, who were able to freely wander into a shopping Mall and take the toddler to his fate. All because their mummy and daddy trusted them enough to be able to go out unsupervised..

Still haven't found the time to find me some statistics, have we?

How many children, left unsupervised, turn into killers of random smaller children? Let's be honest - the likelihood of it happening is terribly low. There's obviously several incidents where unsupervised children have done horrific things - there was an incident in London last year (or the year before? my memory fails...) where a gang of youths killed someone. But a well brought up child, educated, supervised and yet given freedom in all the right amounts won't do these things.

Leo - something to consider is that you might be able to implement (depending on the routing solution you choose) bandwidth caps too. For instance, if you have a 15GB/mo cap from your ISP, it would seem sensible to limit him to around 3GB a month. I used to use 7.5GB-ish a month in normal usage, but that was with fairly intensively using it in terms of time.

The books are sitting just there on the floor.
  • Hi again,
This post continues from where my post #87 left off when I had to go to tea........

Bandwidthcaps, suggested by polishbigspender, is not a bad idea...i ll look into that further as well.

There you are then, 5 pages of moral dilemma and about 1 page of teccy information, which is what I was looking for.

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. It has been most interesting reading peoples views on this matter.

Shall we continue now.......? lol Leo
